F. Shrimant Maharaja Malhar Rao Holkar II

Maharaja Malhar Rao Holkar II  [Note: He is sometimes referred as Malhar Rao Holkar III because of being third Malhar Rao Holkar in Holkar family after Subhedar Malhar Rao Holkar(I)- founder of Holkar dynasty and Malhar Rao Holkar (II)- brother of Yashwant Rao Holkar I, He is sometimes referred as Malhar Rao Holkar II because for being the second Malhar Rao Holkar on the throne after Subhedar Malhar Rao Holkar (I)- the founder of Holkar dynasty] was the son of Maharaja Yashwant Rao Holkar I. He was the 7th king of Holkar dynasty. Battle of Mahindpur (1817), between Holkar and British happened during his reign and Holkar Rajya was transformed into a small Holkar state under British rule. In Battle of Mahindpur, Maharani Tulsa Bai Holkar, Sardar Tatya Jog, Maharaja Hari Rao Holkar (he was sardar at the time of the battle), Sardar Gaphura Khan, Sardar Bhausaheb Holkar, Rajkumari Bhima Bai and Maharani Krishna Bai Holkar played important roles in this battle.

This is the main Samadhi of Maharaja Malhar Rao Holkar II and Samadhi is divided into Garbhagriha & Sabhamandapa. There is a Shikhar on Garbhagriha and two Shikhas on Sabhamandapa. Maratha, Rajput and Mughal architectural styles can be seen in Shikhar. The size of Samadhi is magnificent which makes it one of the two big Smaraks in Chhatribagh.

G. Shrimant Maharani Gautama Bai Holkar (Tai Sahib)

Maharani Gautama Bai Holkar-Gadhave was the wife of Maharaja Malhar Rao Holkar II and died in 1859. During 18th and 19th century, Samadhi of the husband and wife used to be in one Samadhi, but this is the only Samadhi in Chhatribagh which is separately made only for Gautama Bai (wife of Malhar Rao Holkar II). This Samadhi shows her personality. People used to respectfully call her 'Tai Sahib'. There is not much research done on Gautama Bai Holkar (Tai Sahib). This Samadhi is in front of Samadhi of Maharaja Malhar Rao Holkar II.
