The nurse located the freezer labeled fletcher and opened it pulling out the long body tray. She pulled the cover back but cardi couldn't look she shut her eyes. She felt Hennessy's arms drop from around her.
"Excuse me but that's not my niece" Hennessy said
"I'm sorry?" The nurse asked
Cardi opened her eyes and they wandered around the room until they met the body laying on the tray.
" that's not my daughter. I've never seen this woman before in my life" cardi spoke
The nurse pulled out a walkie talkie and spoke into it .
"Dr Howard to morgue, dr Howard to morgue" she said
"Ma"am are you sure this is not your daughter? She may look a little different since she has been in the-
"Are you fucking kidding me right now Estupido?. I would know what the hell me daughter looks like and this woman is darker and way smaller then my daughter" cardi hissed.
"Woah woah what seems to be the issue?" Doctor Howard walked in
"This lady has reason to believe that this isn't her daughter." The nurse spoke with annoyance
"Reason to believe? Okay we will see when I sue this hospital I'm not gonna take it there cause it will get real ugly real fast." She bucked at the nurse
"So you are telling me this is not your daughter?" Dr Howard asked
"Oh my god are you people fucking slow? No this is not my niece she is still somewhere obviously so y'all better find her fast before I act the fuck out this is unprofessional" Hennessy scowled
"Um . Okay so you said your daughter was pregnant correct?" He asked
"Yes she is pregnant" cardi said growing inpatient
"Okay come with me we are gonna go up the nicu facility and search every room. However only the mother can come at this time."
"It's okay. Go in my purse upstairs and unlock my phone and call my lawyer this shit gonna be on the news this is fucked up"cardi assured her sister
They made there way back to the elevator. The nurse and Hennessy got off the on the er floor while cardi and doctor howard made their way up to the nicu facility.
They scrubbed their hands and put on the protective gear so the babies in the facility wouldn't catch any diseases. They checked each room on floor A but found nothing. The made their way to floor B and walked to the last room on the left.
The sound of baby cries filled the patient room. But it was more then two babies. Dr Howard pulled the curtain back and cardi's eyes lit up.
"Mami?" Ari asked with tears filling her eyes
"Shhh shhh it's okay baby I'm here now we are all here". She rubbed her daughters head.
"These my grandkids?" They so beautiful"
"Yes. This one is dayvon jr and this one is yosohn" she said cuddling the two baby boys in her arms.
"So much for a gender reveal huh?" They both chuckled
"How are you feeling?" Belcalis asked
"I'm okay. The doctors had to perform an emergency c section to get them out otherwise I only suffered minor injuries to the back" Ari said
"I almost went crazy in this damn hospital. They tried to say you was dead. They brought me to the morgue to identify you and they had some different lady under your name"
"What really? So then what name am I under?"
"Ms Saunders it's time to take your meds" a nurse walked in.
"Her last name is fletcher not Saunders y'all put her under another woman's name I believe it's the dead woman down in the morgue. Doctor Howard's will tell u he is in the hall" cardi spoke diligently
"I- I'm sorry" the nurse spoke and left out the room
"How is dayvon? Did you see him?"
"Yes baby I did he is downstairs with his mom he is fine. I'm gonna ask the Doctor if he can bring him up."
"No need he is making his way up right now with the rest of the family" dr Howard said.
About 5 minutes passed and the door to the room swung open. Von slowly approached the bed where he was met with Ari and two babies. He couldn't help but to smile and break down in tears. This was a vulnerable moment for him and he hated crying in front of people because he was always seen as the strong one.
He pecked Ari on her lips a couple of times and looked down at their creations in her arms.
"That's davyon jr and that's yosohn" she said once more pointing to the two sleeping baby boys.
"We got twins" he smiled
"How are you feeling?" she asked
"Im Ight. Im a gangsta I can handle it ma. What about you tho?"
"Im okay I'm just glad my babies is safe. We got our own little family now. Including my baby true.."
