Interview

It was 9:00 pm on a Saturday. I had an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in thirty minutes. It wasn't something I hadn't done before but nonetheless I was still nervous. Especially because I didn't know why he wanted to have the interview.

It was 9:15 when I hopped into my deep royal purple 1990s Camaro. It wasn't new and I could afford better but it was my moms so I kept it. When I got to the set I was taken to a dressing room to check my makeup. For the first time I really looked at what I looked like in my outfit. I was wearing a burgundy button up shirt and black khakis with burgundy high top converse. I looked good and was comfortable. As soon as the make up artists were done I was moved behind a back drop that when I was given the cue it would come up and I'd step out onto the set. Before I could even think Jimmy was announcing my name.

"Please welcome actress and singer, y/n y/l/n". I heard him announce. On cue the backdrop lifted and the spotlight was on me. I came out smiling and waving. I went to Jimmy and shook his hand.
"How is the famous y/n doing?" He questioned as I sat down.
"Oh as good as can be expected, how about you?" I replied.
" I've been good, very good."he informed me.
We talked for a bit about some movies and songs I've been working on. After awhile he got very serious and I got nervous.
"So y/n, we have pictures here and I was wondering if you could confirm some rumors going around." He stated
'Crap,I thought 'this isn't going to go well'
Though I was nervous I wasn't going to let it show.

"Well Jimmy I can only confirm or deny the rumors of you show them to me." I said

"Of course." He said as he pointed toward a screen.
On the screen was the very thing I hoped wouldn't be on there.

On this screen was pictures of me and Scarlett Johansson together. As in together together.
"As you can see y/n it appears that you and Scarlett are back together."
"Sorry, Jimmy but that is photoshopped, I haven't talked to her in four years."
He got a sad look on his face "Well sorry folks looks like the rumors aren't true. Our favorite couple isn't back together." His statement was followed by lots of moans and sad cries from the audience. We rapped up the interview and I headed home.

I was speeding down the highway Lil peep on the radio. At first I thought it was starting to rain until I realized it was my eyes tearing up. I had been holding in my tears through the last part of the interview. I realized I was speeding and slowed down. That's when I saw something in the middle of the road in the distance. At first I thought it was a stray dog but as I got closer a wave of fear came over me. It was a child. A little girl in the middle of the highway.
' Oh shit' I thought
I had to do something but what. That's when I noticed a car coming right towards her. The man was on his phone not even realizing what was going on. That's when I did something either incredibly stupid or brave. I raced my car forward going as fast as my car would go. I got there just in time sliding my Camaro in between the car and the girl. The impact felt as if it was in slow motion. My left side was being crushed and my head was whipping back. My head came back down and everything went black.

Hey,this is nogameplan here and just wanted to get feedback on the first chapter. This is my first story and would like to know how people feel about it. Also since this is my first story I would like to hear from people on what they think will happen next and who knows maybe I'll use it. Feel free to message me ideas or leave them in the comments.
