Ones In A Lifetime (Jelena)

Chapter 2

Selena's POV:

It has been 3 mounts since Rose is with me. Every day is a blessing and I can not thank God enough. Our days are pretty simple. We love to spend day just laying in bed and cuddling. She's little angel. Healthy and happy baby.

Since the dinner world went crazy. Everybody found out about Rosie and she won everyone in a second. The world didn't know what she looks like and I decided not to share her pictures but my family and friends are obsessed with her.

Every day in midnight for the past 3 mounts I've been getting a phone call. All I could hear is silence and nothing else. It didn't scare me as it probably should. As a matter of fact it gave me some kind of peace and security. I felt something I didn't in a long time.

Aiden and I are a lot closer. I even accepted to go on a date with him. There is no more love in my heart for a man but he was really nice and he knows with kids so I said yes.

Today Maria took a day off and my mom is home so it's just me and Rose. I put her on sleep and started preparing dinner. It was around 6 o'clock when I heard a soft knock on my door. I started to feel same as on the phone. I opened door slowly and my world stopped.

His head was bowed down, looking at his feet. His brown soft hair was shining from the inside lights. It has been 4 years.

He looked up. My eyes meet with his. All the confidence and swagines was gone. In front of me was the Justin I knew best. Pure and real.

"Hey" I heard him say. His voice like the most beautiful music in this world. It is funny how with one most simple word he can make my world a different place.

I needed to collect myself and say something.

"Hey" I simply said with a voice a little higher than a wisper.

*Silence*

Our eyes never leaving each other. It is like if I blink he will disappear. I honestly don't know how much time went by but all we did was look at each other in silence.

"Can I see her?" His voice insecure. Like he vas scared of my answer. His eyes glossy.

No no no. No you can't - my mind was screaming at me. NO!

I moved and let him in without saying a word. After closing the door still in disbelief I walked to her room with Justin on my heel.

"She is asleep now. Please be careful" I said while slowly opening the door He nodded and followed me inside.

I stood by the door waching him standing by her nursery. His eyes sparkling. They were like a melted warm honey and full of love. If that is possible.

I didn't know why is he here or why he wanted to meet her but he did.

Half of an hour went by and neither of us moved. I was confused. I heard my stomach crumbling and decided to go continue with diner making.

After two hours I finally finished my dinner and desert. I was ready to put the table up when I heard Rosie crying. I took her bottle and run upstairs. But I forgot who was with her.

He was sitting in big chair holding her on his chest lightly singing some beautiful melody I never heard before.

He didn't notice me.

"She is hungry" I stated. Not knowing what else to say. I wanted to take her. But he adjusted her in his hands and looked at me. I could swear he was crying.

"Please can I" he said and held out his hand to take a bottle.

"She can be messy! I don't want you to get all dirty" I said pointing in his nice clothes.

"It's ok. Please let me. "

I gave him a bottle still asking myself is this a dream or what? He gave her a bottle and she started sucking. Her eyes never leaving his. He was smiling at her. You can tell she liked him because she was not crying. With everybody else even Olly and my mom everytime she wakes up and there are with her she is crying till I take her, but with him she is actually smiling. I smiled at them.

He looked at me and suddenly both of ours smiles desapeard. I stood up and straighten my jeans.

"Um.. I made dinner. If.. if you want after she feels asleep you can join me."

He nodded and I was out. I needed to take a little time alone. What was happening tonight? Why did he wanted to meet my daughter? Why is he looking with so much love at her? Why did he leave me? For what? Why? Why? Hundreds of questions flood my head while I was in my bathroom sobbing.

After 20 minutes he was sitting in front of me at my dining table. I put a food in front of him amd hear a little 'thank you'

*Silence*

"I heard you named her Rosie" he said finally

"Yeah, Rosie Anna Gomez"

"Ahm" And silence again

The dinner was finished and I served the desert.

"Why are you here Jay?" I used his nickname I gave him a long time ago not even realizing it.

" I... I couldn't Selena. I couldn't..." he stopped. I knew he was looking for words so I was patient.

"I tried to stay away with every bit of the strength in my body but I couldn't do it anymore. I needed to see her. When I heard you got her I was out of this world. I asked everyone I know and they said they saw her and I needed too."

I didn't want to say anything because this is the first time that he is talking about his feelings. "When we were... Sel when we were together we always had a dream of being young parents. You remember? " I nodded

*Silence*
