Telma's Bar |Chapter 2|

Start from the beginning

"Actually, about that."

He began, as he smiled at you reassuringly, before directing his gaze back at Telma.

Telma had now caught sight of you, and was giving Link a curious look.

"Now who might this young man be?"

Telma teased Link, as she gave you a sweet smile, before back at Link.

"This is y/n, I bumped into him a little while ago, on my way here."

Link began, as he patted you on the shoulder, giving you another reassuring smile.

"He says that he doesn't remember anything but his name, so I thought that maybe you'd be able to help?"

Link made the last bit sound like a question, as Telma gave you this look that described pity.

For some odd reason, you hated that pity filled look, it made you feel like a hopeless child.

While on the other hand, you felt happy every time they referred to you as a He/Him, or a man. You didnt know why.

Telma redirected her attention to Link.

"I'm sorry Link, but I cant really afford to be able to lend a room to him right now, the bar has been very busy since Hyrule was saved. I'm sorry, dear."

Telma explained to Link, as she turned her attention to you at the end, and gave you a tender smile.

Link was about to say something, when suddenly the door opened and closed abruptly behind us, startling you, as you clung to Link's hand a little tighter.

A man, who you guessed was probably in his early to late 20s, walked straight over to the bar where Telma and us were.

"Telma! You wouldnt believe what happened today!"

The man exclaimed in excitement, as he slammed a book down on the bar table, causing a few grumbles from people sitting at the bar.

Telma just sighed as she walked behind the bar, grabbing that man a drink, probably his usual, seeing as she instantly knew what he wanted.

"My books have been selling! People are actually buying them!"

The man continued, soon turning his head and noticing us.

"Oh! Hi Link, it's been awhile hasn't it? How have you been?"

Link just gave him a warm smile in response, before giving him an actually response.

"I've been good, but anyways, you said your books started to sell? I'm so happy for you! You really deserve it!"

Link responded genuinely, as him and the man began talking about, what you would assume, was the books they mentioned.

Telma handed the man his drink, as she thanked her and continued on.

You just casually sat yourself on the stool beside Link, trying to keep yourself busy as they went on and on.

Soon enough, you began to memorize every detail of the bar.

Suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder.

Tensing up as you quickly directed your gaze to the person that tapped your shoulder.

You relaxed once you realized it was Telma.

She gave you a gentle smile before clearing her through loudly, obviously trying to get Link and the man's attention.

Both men turned their heads in Telma's direction, before Link suddenly remembered.

"Ah right, Shad, this is y/n. Y/n, this is Shad"

Link introduced you both.

Shad turned his attention to you, as he smiled welcoming.

"Its a pleasure to meet you y/n."

Shad held his had out for you to shake, hesitantly you shook it.

"Now onto other matters"

Telma suddenly piped in, grabbing in all of three of your attention.

"Where is y/n going to stay while he recovers his memories."

Telma suddenly had Shad's full attention.

"Wait, y/n doesnt have his memories?!"

Shad exclaimed in pure surprise, unintentionally grabbing some of the customers attention.

Telma quickly shushed him as Link began to explain the situation to Shad.

"Actually, that's why I and y/n are here, I was hoping one of you might be able to help."

Shad looking at you with pity, as you grew frustrated with the situation you were in.

"Oh come on, I dont have memories, so what, I'm not a fucking helpless child."

Telma placed her hand against her chin, as she leant on the bar.

"What if you brought him with you to Ordon Village? I may not be able to lend him a room, but I can always keep an eye out for anyone that might be looking for him"

That seemed to grab Link's attention, as he began to think it over himself.

"Yeah, that could work."

He began to smile brightly as he turned his attention towards you.

"So, how about it, you wanna come to Ordon Village with me?"
