Irish pov
Sitting in the hospital bed was getting even more boring by the second. Even if Nash and Vex were sitting with me.
"When are they letting me go?" I groaned.
"They're just making sure all of the water is out of your lungs." Vex replied.
" I'm sure I'd be dead if there were."
"You're not the doctor, missy. Anxious to leave?" Nash laughed.
"Anxious to go back to Maine."
"Wait what?" Vex asked as he sat up right in his seat.
"You're leaving again?"
"There's no point in staying. Everyone's mad at me. Cyrus never came to see me. Neither did Myles." I sighed.
"And you think leaving again is gonna make it better?" Vex scoffed.
"Great now you're mad at me too."
"I'm not mad, I just don't want you leaving me again." He responded.
"Yeah, Irish, we all obviously want you here. Everyone just needs some time to adjust. It's all so new and I'm sure everyone is still in shock." Nash explains.
"You say 'we' as if you wouldn't be coming back with me."
"I'm not leaving my brother again. I'm staying, and so are you.
"You're just going to drop everything in Maine to move here?" I asked.
"Drop what? That boring ass job? My small ass apartment? The friends and family we don't have?" Nash huffed.
"We had each other." I shrugged.
"Yes, Irish, and now I also have my brother who I thought was dead."
"And you have a family who loves you, Irish. Speaking of family, Cyrus never came?" Vex said as he butt in.
"No. Mom was the only one who came in the see me. Dad got busted up pretty good so he's in a room too, and I wouldn't be surprised if Cy never wanted to speak to me again."
"He left you for 10 years. It's like y'all are twins." Vex chuckled.
"But he didn't lie about being dead for those ten years." I argued.
They both kind of nodded in agreement. Everything happened so fast. I guess I never realized how much of a toll this put on all of them. Vex still loves me after ten years? When did he start loving me anyways?
And out of everyone I loved, he was the one I was pulling towards.
"Has anyone seen Liam?" I asked.
"Navaan was hurt. So he's in the room with him." Nash explained.
"Navaan? That's his name?" I asked with a smile.
Nash smiled back at me and nodded his head yes.
"Take me to his room." I demanded as I pushed the covers off and hopped out of bed.
"Irish, I don't think you should be out of bed." Vex warned.
"It's not like I was stabbed or something lethal. All I did was drown. I'm perfectly fine, and I should be able to walk around."
He put his hands up in defense.
Liam pov
"How do you feel buddy?"
"My leg hurts." He groaned.
"It's gonna hurt for a while bud."
"Hey bro." Nash said as he burst through the open doorway.
"Hey. Have you been here all night?" I chuckled.
