This all happened when I was on Youtube scrolling around listening to 88rising live concert 2021. I was listening to Saweetie, DPR, BIBI who are amazing singers. I remember I saw a name pulled up under Keshi and the video length was 28 minutes long.
I said," I've never heard of this artist before, but I wanna hear what type of music he sings."
I clicked on the video and started watching it. The start of the scene was dark and late at night. Keshi's name was behind the huge screen, a big crowd anticipating and waiting for the artist, and a band slowly playing the guitar softly. Next thing you know the artist steps out to the stage and you can hear everyone screaming and shouting while he sings his intro song.
Keshi yells," Hey L.A, what the fuck is up!"
The lights flashed onto Keshi. You can see him wearing a black and white puffy jacket with a white tank top underneath it, black hat with in white letters that says LA, black pants and shoes. It seems like he wore a few jewelries; silver necklaces and a few rings on his fingers, and he also wore black finger nails. The way how he was singing was really seductive and sexy which I was drawn to him.
I eventually watched the whole concert and was heart strung by him. I try to see if he has his own Youtube channel which he did. I added his music onto my favorite list and was addictive to his music. A few months later, I was on Facebook scrolling on my news feed where I saw Keshi was holding a concert in San Francisco at the Regency Ballroom on June 11th. I rushed to buy the ticket and book a hotel near the Regency Ballroom at Calista Organic Hotel for the night.
I was super excited to see Keshi, plus not only that I haven't been to a concert in a really long time. The last concert I went to was back in 2012. I drove myself all the way to L.A. to see 2NE1's concert. I had the best time of my life when I went. Of course I bought the cheapest ticket they had which 2NE1 were little ants when I went to their concert. Sooner or later I realized Maroon 5 was holding a concert here in Wheatland at the Hard Rock Casino on June 3rd.
I even bought myself a ticket to go see them. A week before Maroon 5 concert, I decide to take my kids and mother to Sun splash water park in Roseville. We had so much fun swimming and going on the water rides, but I pick the wrong time to go there. It was 72 degree and windy outside that day. After having so much fun at the water park, we came out but I realize I wasn't feeling nauseous.
I went to grab the portable thermometer towards my forehead and check my temperature. It was beeping flashing red 102 degrees temperature.
I yelled," Mom! I have a fever."
She said," What! How!"
I said," I think because we were playing at the water for too long, plus it was cold and windy."
I heard Natalia came back inside the house from her smoke break. I walked towards her.
I said," Natalia, I have a fever."
I was trying to prove it to her by putting the thermometer back towards my forehead again and it it was beeping flashing red 102 degrees.
She said," You go rest in the room, I will help take care of the kids okay?"
I went to grab a rapid test and took the test just to make sure if I was negative or not. I had to wait 15 minutes. While waiting I reached into the bathroom cabinet's to grab some medicine to take for my fever. After waiting 15 minutes, I double checked my rapid test and it came back negative. Thank you Jesus. I went straight into the room and rest on my kid's bed. During the time period of resting, my kids would come in and out of the room trying to bother me.
Natalia would come into the room," Boys, get out of the room. Your mom is sick."
Being a mother either sick or not, your duty is never ending. I'm just thankful and grateful I have to incredible woman to help me watch my kids while I'm trying to get better. I was even more worried if I was going to make to work or not Monday morning because my manager decides to take a week off from work. I'm the only one who is able to cover the office while she's gone. I had no choice but to force myself to get better for the whole weekend.
Throughout the whole entire night, I felt like shit. All that shivering, migraine, and feeling weak bullshit like any other cold symptoms that anyone gets. The next morning, I slept in while everyone else were awake playing with their technology and eating breakfast. Eventually, I woke up to take some more medicine and wear a face mask the whole entire time.
My mother said," I made some rice porridge for you. Eat some."
I said," Thank you mom. I'll have some."
In my culture when you are sick, you cannot eat anything sugary or greasy. The best way to get better is when someone makes you some rice porridge, chicken soup, or egg soup. Something bland and healthy so your body can get better faster. I reached into the kitchen cabinet to grab myself a small bowl and pour some rice porridge in there. I went back into the room and ate the rice porridge. After I was done eating, I put the bowl in the kitchen sink, but I didn't want to stay in the room anymore, so I sat down on the couch.
Natalia said," I'm going to take the kids with me to Yolanda's house since they are doing a small BBQ there."
I said," Please do. I don't want any you guys to get sick. I'll just be at home and try to get better."
Natalia responded," I know. Which is why we are going to spend the whole entire day over there."
I look at my mother and said," Mom, you should go too. "
My mom said," No. There's so much to do around the house. I'm going to stay home."
I responded," Mom, I know you are trying to make an excuse to stay home to take care of me, but it's better if you go so you don't get sick."
Natalia said," Just come with us, mom."
My mother said," No. I'm going to stay home."
There's no way to try to convince my mother to go, so she stayed home while they left to Yolanda's house. It was peaceful and quiet after they left. My mother stayed in the room while I was sitting in the living room watching a movie. I was getting really sleepy and slept on the couch. This fever was kicking my ass so hard.
