His New Servant

Chapter 1

MAY 2023 - Hi there! Just to let any new or returning readers know I am currently working on a rewrite of this story, I Estimate it will be out by Christmas maybe sooner. After sitting on it for a few months I think Dexters character development could've been so much more in-depth and fleshed out along with Odin's back story. I will update when its released if you are interested <3

before we get started I just wanted to say a few things about this book :)

I'll be trying to upload every Monday and possibly Wednesday if I have enough written by then, But Monday for definite. 

Just a heads up my grammar and spelling may be slightly off as Im dyslexic lol so please excuse that

There will be some mature themes through this book such as angst, death (not main character) and ''sexual'' moments (not full on smut because I can't write it but you know what I mean) and possibly some swearing :)

Chapter 1:

It was a rainy day at the Palace of the Marigold Kingdom and Dexter, The only son of current Queen Linda Maxwell had just gone down to the dining hall for breakfast with his mother. Today would be the day he finally got his new servant. His last had been fired for slacking only a week or so before but it felt like a year to the 21 year old boy.

He walked into the room with his ever perfect posture and proper appearance that his mother loved dearly. He took his seat to the right of his mother who was sitting at the head of the breakfast table and placed a napkin on his lap.

"Good morning Darling'' Linda said while smiling at her only son.

''Good morning Mother.''

Dexter was always formal around his mother, even when he was alone he kept his act up. His only goal in life is to become king and rule his kingdom with grace and elegance. He was determined to be perfect, to make his people proud, to have many beautiful children and to find the perfect wife. 'Wife'. Whenever he was thinking about his future he would avoid his questions about marriage, he would avoid it when his mother would suggest whom he should marry. Deep down Dexter knew he was gay, much to his own digust. he would often catch himself thinking member of the castle staff were attractive, none of them being woman. He would never admit to any of this of course. That would be far too scandalous for the future king.

Linda and her son soon finished their morning meal and moved on to discussions of Dexter's new servant.

''Alright Darling, your new servant will arrive any moment now. I believe one of the staff members will be bringing him here as we speak. You know what to do by now, show him around and tell him exactly what you need from him. Don't worry if it doesn't work out there are thousands of other options.''

Dexter replied with a simple nod and allowed his mother to continue

''Please remember to show him his room and make sure he's comfortable, I don't want him feeling too pressured or uneasy especially on his first day.''

''Of course, Mother.''

Just as they had finished talking the door opened revealing two figures, one in royal uniform and the other in a formal suit. Dexter quickly spotted his new servant and sent him a reassuring nod
