The Blame Game of Fifteen

Alright, Fifteen was a wonderful read - in my opinion - and it got me thinking about all the different people getting blamed for certain things. Spoilers ahead! For the entirety of Fifteen.

Please Note: This is based off the light novel, not the anime. I haven't seen the Fifteen arc in the anime yet, I have read the light novel though.

Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to discuss a view I have on Fifteen. A lot of people tend to treat Yuan fairly poorly. She is the girl that has pink hair and from the clips I've seen, she grabbed Chuuya by the arm. The fact she gets hate on for that scene alone is hilarious because that's not even included in the light novel.

People need to stop blaming Yuan and Shirase for what happened to Chuuya. Recap time; Chuuya ended up getting stabbed in the back - literally and figuratively - by Shirase. Both Yuan and Shirase were manipulated into thinking was Chuuya unreliable.

In hindsight, Chuuya can be unintentionally reliable, such as making bets that involve being someone's dog. Yeah, I said what I said.

Chuuya wasn't wise to take that bet but, this was of course before Yuan and Shirase came along.

YUAN AND SHIRASE GET A PASS!

So, one of my main point is that Yuan and Shirase are not to blame. They get a pass on account of the fact Chuuya had a bet with Dazai. Dazai used this as a manipulation tactic; He knew Chuuya's pride would get in the way of him throwing the bet so, he released the Sheep.

Yuan and Shirase unaware of the bet, saw this but, they also saw Chuuya stay with Dazai. In their eyes, he was untrustworthy. Even if they knew about the bet, he'd still be deemed unreliable as a leader.

Chuuya's main traits are his impulsivity, pride, and his need to be loyal. Loyalty can often clash with impulse and pride.

【  DAZAI GETS A PASS!

Yup, you read that right! I don't blame Dazai for what happened to Chuuya either. It was very obvious before the mission Dazai didn't even want to work with Chuuya.

Mori is after all the one to pair them and force them to work together. With the fact Dazai didn't want Chuuya to come with him in the beginning leads me to believe he didn't plan this.

When Dazai was fifteen, we know a few things about him.

1. He annoys Mori in his free time.
2. He might complain but, he follows Mori's orders
3. He's the same fucking age as Chuuya

MORI DOES NOT  GET A PASS

1. Mori is a whole ass adult unlike Dazai, Chuuya, Yuan, and Shirase (during Fifteen at least).
2. It's obvious on so many levels Mori constructed the plan.
- Had Mori not been behind the plan he wouldn't of let the Sheep go. He is the boss, after all, not Dazai. Mori could of just denied the request. He released them on purpose to turn the Sheep against Chuuya.
- Chuuya and Dazai did Mori's dirty work for him and took down the man responsible for the old Boss's ghost haunting the mafia. We all know just how much Mori couldn't afford to let that issue go. Cause if anyone found out he killed the old Boss, he's dead.
- The Sheep was misdirected and tried killing Chuuya, whether the Sheep succeeded or not, Mori still gets what he wants. If they succeed, Chuuya is no longer a threat and they can easily destory the Sheep. If they fail, they get a new mafia member - Chuuya is no longer a threat but, an ally - and the Sheep is now under the mafia's control.

It's really simple yet some people in the fandom really try blaming a bunch of fifteen year olds.

Peace!
