"And now he's coming over"

You know what I replied with, yep you guessed it .

"What?"

"For a straight A student, your vocabulary needs work" a smug look was on her face.

I was just about to show her just how advanced my vocabulary is, when I heard someone clear their throat behind me.

My head snaps to look behind me, I'm surprised I didn't break it. Right there in front me is Connor Reed, looking down at me with an unreadable expression.

Is it just me or does he look kind of nervous.

Which is insane, he's the captain of the soccer team, I don't think he knows what nervous means.

He cleared his throat again "Hey" a small, nervous smile on his lips.

Immediately a smile replaced my confused face. "Hey Connor, Liam. How was your summer?"

Liam grinned back at me. "It was alright. You?"

I beamed at him remembering the summer "It was great"

"Uh, yeah of course it was, you planned every single day of it." Mia says with a snort.

I glare at her, and look back to the two boys who now have amused smiles.

Conner lifted a brow "You planned your whole summer?"

I nodded, while Mia took the chance to elaborate and further my embarrassment.

"She planned everything, and I mean everything, including our lazy days"

I hear both of them laugh "How do you plan a lazy day?"

I look up to answer liam, my cheeks heating up. "By choosing the shows and movies beforehand, ordering the right food and making sure no one disturbs you"

"And you" I say pointing at Mia "had fun"

"Well yeah I never said I didn't"

We both laugh, as the boys take the seat opposite us.

"Well, what about you two? What did you do?" Mia asked, crossing her arms and leaning back.

Connor shrugs "Mostly we played soccer, and hung out at The Blue"

The Blue was the place where mostly everyone in this small town hung out, especially people our age.

Which was why I made it my goal to avoid it.

Way too many people.

"Uh that's not all you did" Liam says looking at connor with a pointed look

Connor looks at him with a blank face "what are you talking about?"

He ignores him and faces me which makes me blink at him, startled by the sudden attention.

"He" Liam points a finger at Connor "took his sister to disneyland"

A smile immediately spreads on my face "you did" I say facing Connor.

His eyes widens, and he just looks at me with his mouth slightly open.

He cleared his throat while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uh yeah, she's been talking about Disneyland since..,well since she started talking, so I took her"

My smile just widens "That is so sweet" I say glancing at Mia who gives me a knowing smile.

"Oh yeah, West here does these things all the time"

"West?" I say tilting my head

"Uh yeah, my friends and mom call me west, its my middle name"

Before I can stop myself I say "no one calls you Con?"

"No" at the same time liam says "why don't you call him that?"

Connor's eyes widen, then he glares at the side of Liam's head.

"Can I?" I say a little to excited, "I love nicknames"

"Um yeah sure" he says smiling slightly "you can call me whatever you want"

"You know what he'd like even more.." Liam starts but is caught off when Connor puts his hand over his mouth "we should probably go" Conner says quickly standing up.

"Fine," Liam says grumbling.

"Moonlight" he says addressing Mia, then he turns to me "Sunshine", he bows his head and practically skips, while Connor stares at him with bewilderment.

"Uh yeah see you"

"Bye" I say, waving slightly.

He looks at me one more time before leaving

I turn to Mia, who is still staring at where they left.

"Moonlight?" She asks me. I laugh with a shrug "you know Liam"

"Well yeah he's always weird. I get why he'd call you sunshine, but moonlight?"

She shakes her head, standing up, we both head into school.

"Tell me you saw the way Reed was looking at you"

"I don't know what your talking about"

She groans next me to me "you're impossible"

"Yet you still love me" I say, pulling her towards our lockers.
