It was morning now
Kartik was still unconscious and under observation. Ishqi and ahaan were waiting outside the icu. They still hadn't got any new updates about kartik
She saw ahaan sitting on nearby bench his eyes fixated at the icu, he hadn't slept properly and looked drained out
She knew the bond these two shared
They were the ideal ram lakhan jodi for ishqi, they were always there for eo
Kartik had literally played Cupid for her and ahaan, and ahaan would do anything in his power for kartik too . She was thankful that they could reach to kartik on time, she wouldn't even dare to imagine the consequences if not.
She went near ahaan and gave him a reassuring look
Ishqi - avm, hum cafteria jake kuch kha lete he, phir hum jaldi wapas aa jayenge

Ishqi- aise kaise mann nhi he , agar kartik ka khayal rakhna he toh aapko khud ka bhi khayal rakhna hoga, aur aap nhi khayenge toh mein bhi nhi khaungi
Ahaan - nhi ishqi , kartik toh mera kuch sunta nhi ,abh tum bhi apni sehat ko lightly le rhi ho, tumhe insulin shots bhi lena he, tumhe kuch khana padega
Ishqi - toh chaliye hum saath jayenge ishqi had to almost drag ahaan with her and he half heartedly agreed
In cafteria
both of them had lost their appetite, but ordered something to fill their stomach
Ahaan- ishqi woh abhi tak uda kyon nhi operation ki koyi complications toh nhi hoga na
ishqi - nhi avm aisa kuch nhi hoga , ek baar usko hosh aaye toh tasli hojayegi , phir hum sabko bata denge
Ahaan - kal kartik ko aise dekh kar mein bahut dar gaya tha ishqi, uske kafi blood loss huva he ,upar se meine uske paav zor se keech bhi liya , shayad usse fracture tabhi huva hoga ..
He felt guilty
Ishqi held ahaan's hand
Ishqi - humare pass aur koyi option nhi the avm. Uss waqt kartik ko car se nikalna sabse zyada zaroori tha.
Ahaan just hummed in response
Ahaan - ishqi,tum dono mere support system ho, I feel lost without you guys
Ishqi- areyy, toh hum konsa aapko chodke bhaag rahe he,mein toh woh peepal ki chudail ki tarah ekdam aapke gale pad jaungi
Ahaan smiled this time
After a while they went back ,and to their relief they were informed that kartik was shifted to room as he was stable, but still unconscious owing to the effect of sedatives.
They rushed to his room
Kartik and silence were supposed to be contradictory yet he has gone to incognito mode now.
Ahaan quietly sat near him and gently held his hand
Kartik and him were polar opposites ,
sometimes ,kartik's overenthusiastic and dramatic approach towards life irked him. That guy was unrealistically positive and with his x - ray fitted eyes found out whatever ahaan tried to hide.
For the world Ahaan veer Malhotra might be a difficult puzzle to decipher but for kartik reading his mind was a cakewalk.
Ahaan chided him when he behaved like an absolute goofball without any care of what people thought about him, but now he would do anything in his power to get that kartik back.

Although ishqi was trying to be strong kartik's accident had shook her from within .
Kartik was the first friend she had in this house.he had accepted her just the way she was and never judged her, he has been always there for her, infact at times he had gone against his family and even his bhai to support her . Their bond has become stronger ever since , now he was her best friend,she could talk to him about almost anything without any apprehension
As kartik would say their "bhevar "bond was something ishqi will always cherish.

Growing up with masi, ishqi had learned very early in life to be happy with whatever it offered, and not to crib
But she always craved for a sibling. Someone with whom she could share her thoughts, do silly banters , fights and pull each other's leg,but would have her back at the end of the day.
She vividly remembered her mehendi function and how kartik had proudly announced " Ishqi ka bhai he "
Mein uska kanyadan karunga. That was the best gift he had given her, kartik had effortlessly filled that void
Kartik had treated ishqi just like sonu and she even tied rakhi to him during this rakshabandhan. He is indeed her Bhai, her soul brother.
Seeing him trapped in the car injured and unresponsive shook her.
She was used to kartik's pjs, his endless teasings, and pranks but she wasn't used to a silent kartik.
she always harboured a fear of losing people she loved. Destiny had been cruel enough to snatch her parents from her she couldn't afford to loose kartik ,she wanted him all hail and healthy as quick as possible ,she discreetly wiped her tears and prayed to God to keep her brother safe
