Isla liked to get to Hawkins High early and sit in the library until first bell. She liked the two classes she shared with Catherine Holland, and she liked cheer practice after school, every day at 3.
She knew what she was good at, and she knew what she was bad at. Isla was very reliable and everyone around her found comfort in their blonde friend, however Isla was bad in social situations if she wasn't with people she was comfortable with.
She both fit the stereotypes she belonged in, yet defied them in a way that nobody could explain. The blonde was smart, not top of her class smart but she wasn't falling behind in any subject. She was great at literature, choosing to spend most of her free time reading somewhere instead of partying with the rest of the cheer team. Isla wasn't very bubbly, it took her a while to warm up in company but anyone who chose to get to know her only could say good things.
So when Isla Aldrich noticed things around her no longer continuing to make sense, she tries her best to pretend like it doesn't both her— that is until it's inevitable and she finds herself in a position she never thought herself capable of working through.
