Rossi walked into the conference room dressed in a tuxedo. "Whoa!" Prentiss says. "What, are you working on wife number 4?" Morgan asks with a smile that matches everyone else's in the room. "I see you people way too much." Rossi responds earning a couple laughs. "Let's get started." Hotch told the team.
"All right, Anchorage Field Office is asking us to investigate a series of murderers in Franklin, Alaska. There's 3 people dead in less than a week." JJ tells everyone.
"For a town with a population of 1,476, that's fairly significant" Reid says.
"It's their first mirder investigation on record." JJ adds. "Who are the victims?" Rossi asks. "Jon Baker, a hunter, Dedaimia Swanson, a school teacher, Brenda Bright, the first mate on a fishing boat. There's a new victim every 2 days." JJ explains.
"Any connections?" Presntiss asks. "Unfortunately, in a town this small, everyone's connected." JJ answers. "Different kill methods. It says that the first two victims were both shot with a rifle, but Brenda Bright was stabbed twice with an arrow?" Morgan says in a questioning tone.
"Are we sure it's the same guy?" Amory asks. "All 3 victims were found in heavily trafficked areas. The unsub wants them found sooner than later." Hotch explains.
"Jon Baker's body was left exposed to the elements, but the two women were buried under mounds of trash, Why?" Prentiss asks.
"Could be a sign of remorse. Cover their bodies so he doesn't have to face the reality of what he's done." Spencer suggests.
"Or he thinks that the women are trash and he's just placed them where he thinks they belong. Amory says.
"Well we can't be sure of anything yet. Franklin is an isolated fishing community that's been hit really hard by the current economy. Add to that a series of unsolved murders and everyone's on edge." JJ informed the team.
"The local sheriff's out of his depth. And Alaska hasn't handled a serial investigation since Robert Hansen in the eighties. We'll fly out tonight and everybody can sleep on the plane. Garcia, I need you with us." Hotch says.
"Sir?" Penelope asks.
"I've tasked a satellite uplink and it's your job to keep us connected." Hotch tells Penelope to which she nods with a "yes sir."
"This town's already on the brink, and if this pattern continues, we've only got another day until the next murder. Let's finish this fast." Hotch says then everyone leaves the conference room, grabs their go bags and heads to the jet.
After everyone gets situated on the jet and takes their seats Spencer notices Amory looking at her weirdly. "What? Is something wrong?" He asks her. "No, it's just- are you wearing something other than just plain solid colors?" she says, pretending to be shocked as she takes a look at him wearing white dress shirt with tiny blue polka dots on it, a brown tie with a big orange stripe on it, a red velvet cardigan, a navy blue blazer and brown pants with black converse sneakers.
