"Ok, sure, they deserve to know, but let somebody else tell them, like Social Services." Morgan says with a firm voice gaining everyone's attention to him.
Reid knits his eyebrows, shaking his head as Amory closes her eyes and moves her fingers in front of her like she is typing on an invisible keyboard. Both of the BAU's super genius's trying to figure out the statistics that are picking at their brains. It's not natural for suicides to spike like this. There has to be foul play involved. Reid looks at Rossi, suddenly noticing Hotch not in the room anymore which is odd and Amory looking down at the file.
"Contact Detective Baleman. Let him know we're coming." Rossi told JJ, standing up and walking out of the conference room.
Everyone else follows at their heels, Reid leaving last after Amory grabs her tea, her file, and quickly making her way to the door, but is stopped by Reid before she can get there.
"Meghan, hold on." Reid calls out to Amory who stops and turns around when she hears him call her name.
"What's up, Reid?" She asks with a fake smile plastered to her face.
She never calls him by his last name unless she's upset. Reid closes the door to the conference room, turns back around to face her then takes her file and tea and places them back on the table.
"I-I'm sorry for leaving this morning without telling you." Reid apologizes.
"It's fine, you let Anna know first. My sister letting me know after I wake up alone in bed with not even a text from you that you left made me feel so much better. Oh, the most reassuring part was giving her a fat lie to tell me why you left." Amory says sarcastically.
"I know, that was stupid and I should've told you first. Let me explain please."
"You know, if things between us are going too fast you could just tell me and we can move slower in this relationship cause honestly, what I felt this morning before Anna told me you left early to get the papers that you picked up from Aaron before we headed to my place at your apartment was the feeling of you running away. And I can't have anyone run away again. Everyone always leaves. Is this going too fast?"
"No, it's not. I-I just had to go visit... I had to visit Meave."
"Spencer... This is something you have to tell me. I was so worried about you."
"I-I'm sorry."
"Please don't do it again. Don't leave without telling me first. We promised each other that we'd never leave each other, at least not without letting each other where we're going first."
"I know and I promise that I won't do that again."
"Right, you promise."
"You think I'm lying."
"No, I think that you got scared and didn't know how to bring it up to me so you did the first thing that came into your head. We can take this slower. Cooling it on the marriage and future kids talk. Save it for when we get there."
"Meghan, I'm ok, we're not moving too fast in our relationship. Look into my eyes, read me. I am not lying."
Amory sighs then looks into his eyes. She doesn't want to give in, but the truth means everything to her. Reid looks deep into her eyes, trying to read her, but she's not fully there. At least not there for him to read, making it easy to tell that something is bothering her. Amory gives Spencer a small nod.
"See, I'm not lying. What is bothering you? You're not 100% here with me right now."
"I'm just in my head over thinking. Someone was handing out fliers on my way out of SongByrd and I took one so I wouldn't be asked to take one again. When I looked at it in my car it said, 'you're such a pretty pair, but Spencie and I would be much better.. Our game isn't over, mamma bitch.' There's only one person who calls me mamma as an insult."
