In the Kingdom of Hyrule, there has always been two things that have remained absolute throughout all of the known history. Every few generations, there is some sort of crisis and there is both a hero and a genetic descendent of the kingdom's patron deity, Hylia.

As any civilization living alongside divinity would, the kingdom of Hyrule was founded upon the rule of the Blood of the Goddess, making the divinely descended family also classified as royalty.

At this point in the nation's history, there was a prolonged period of peace. The land's habitual crisis was soon to be due, yet showed no signs of revealing itself. The current King of Hyrule, King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule, grew weary with each passing year. The kingdom was prospering, yes, and the people were happy, yet the threat of a crisis as was the curse of the land loomed over him like a mighty Lynel.

As king, Rhoam had the weight of the kingdom upon his shoulders. He worked tirelessly to train up his army for any battles that could be ahead of them. Any weaknesses in the kingdom's borders were handled with an iron hand.

To the South West, the allied Gerudo Tribe and their accompanying desert would defend against any monsters who crawled out of the ancient, desolate ruins of the Arbiter's Grounds.

To the North West, the Hebra mountain range bordered the land, promising to halt any monsters in its icy grasp. The few monsters that would be able to survive the harsh temperatures would be easily disbanded by the Rito archers native to the frozen peaks.

Due North, the nation is bordered by a deep canyon, guarded by its patron spirit, the fire dragon Dinraal. There are two more dragons across Hyrule, but their locations are far less strategic.Akala Citadel in the North East of the kingdom held a strong frontier against any attacking armies that might have tried to attack by land or sea in that direction.

The only boarders that had cause for alarm were the southern and southeastern shores. There was only one major settlement in the area, Lurelin Village, as well as a few stables dotted around the land. After discussing the situation with his advisor, King Rhoam set out with a force of troops to begin building up the seafaring town in the Faron Region.

With the king out of the castle, and the queen having passed years prior, the princess of the kingdom was thrust into the position of power, however temporary. Normally, the king would have sent his daughter to build up the settlement, but her history in missions like this was to focus upon the technology of an ancient civilization of Sheikah. Granted, the technology of the era far surpassed that of the modern day, but she spent her time focusing upon the toys of a forgotten world rather than commanding the armies of the modern day, or awakening her natural power as a descendent of the Goddess Hylia.

Now that Princess Zelda was left to rule for a time, she got quickly to work on building up the defenses that she saw as necessary. Namely, rebuilding the ancient Guardians that had shown signs of being viable as weapons against the incoming calamity. Walking briskly from one room to the next, the princess ordered the scientists that had been working with her to focus on different aspects of their work.

"You sir! Make sure that the Guardian's servos are getting enough oil. We don't want them getting rusted again and locking up before we get them into a good position for battle." She called to one man. "Make sure the lens on the airborne guardian is properly polished. I believe that it would cause more harm than good if it were to malfunction at the moment it is needed." She retold to the older gentleman carrying a bottle and rag towards a few mounted machines on the other side of his work station. "We need to make sure that-"

"Princess!" A familiar voice broke through the ruckus in the room behind her.Zelda whirled around and was met with Impa's concerned face. "What? What is it? Have you found something new in the Shika Slate?"
