    There was a moment of silence after Matt's little declaration, and Mia took that opportunity to take in her surroundings only to notice that unlike the first time she woke up and assumed she was once again in the hospital, due to the machines attached to her, she was instead within a makeshift clinic.

The room seemed to have been converted from a regular room to what it is now – which brought up the question as to how Brianna was able to sneak past them into this room – unless she hallucinated her but— it felt too real— just what was she.

"We should let her rest" Eliza says, breaking the silence causing Mia to frown. Rest!?!

"Yes— uhm she had a traumatic experience — it's best we let her—" Alex quickly agrees, sounding nervous as he avoids Mia's glare.

"I'm fine" Mia insisted, causing them to turn to look at her. Smile force.

There was another long pause before Eliza sighs. "Can I have a moment to speak to her alone? Before we get to the other—"

"Of course" both of the twins pitch in at the same time, looking relieved as they quickly get out of the room, not wanting to stick around in case Eliza changes her mind.

A tense awkward pause falls over them after they hear the click of the door closing, where Mia observes Eliza only to realize she looked slightly different. To how she stood to the ways she was dressed.

For one the Eliza she knew never dressed in any black — in fact she always used to hold an odd distaste towards the color, always opting to wear colorful almost neon colors but now she was decked head to toe in black.

"I guess— I have a lot explaining to do uh" she breaks the silence with a sigh, sitting on the chair by Mia's bed as she stares at her expectedly.

"You think?" Which may have sounded harsh and uncall for but Mia was tired of being left in the dark.

"Yeah Ok, I had that coming" she says, offering a small smile before she looks down again.

"I guess I'll start by apologizing— I should have been honest from the beginning but I thought I was protecting you— and when things started getting out of hand— I—" she murmurs, voice low.

"I never had to explain this to anyone before— we — the twins and I have very strict rules regarding letting the mundane know about us," Eliza explained, looking tired and defeated.

"What are you guys?" Mia couldn't help but ask, confused because it was clear by now that they weren't human.

"I— I'll let Matt explain that one to you— he knows more about our origin than I do" she said looking slightly apologetic.

Which ok, Mia could respect that.

"How long have you known them?" Mia offered a truce. Eliza's eyes shone with gratitude as she took a deep shaky breath.

"I've known Alex and Matt since I was in dippers—" she begins to say but Mia startled eyes wide.

"There's no way! I've known you since you were in middle school!" Eliza winces slightly at that as she looks away.

"That's one of things I'm able to do— after living so long it's easy to create a makeshift life and alter my age— ah—" Eliza stumbles, seemingly looking stuck. "It's hard to explain — this would make more sense once Matt explains to you— I'm sorry I suck at this"

"So you knew them from the beginning?" Mia takes pity and decides to give her a pass.

"Yeah—" she said sheepishly looking away "I knew who they were from the get go but I didn't want to associate with them because we had a falling out before I left. A decisions taken which cause me to leave"
