"Need me to key you in again?" Mark asked with a chuckle as he saw her arrive at the hotel at 2am and she sheepishly smiled at him

"How are you?" He asked, knowing it had been a few days since they had a proper conversation together

"I'm good, you?" She asked

"I'm alright...i was wondering if you wanted to grab lunch together tomorrow? Just to catch up" he offered and she nodded

"Sounds great!" She smiled

"Good, I'll see you later then, have a good night" he smiled as he scanned the VIP card so she can go up to the penthouse. The words of advice she relayed onto Jeyi and Jeno flooded her mind.

'loves you for you and not just for what you offer'. Jaemin loved her when she had no money, no house, nothing...he chose to love her for her.

The penthouse door was left open for her since Jaemin was expecting her and she let herself in, taking off her shoes and jacket.

"I made some coffee, it tastes like death but-" she cut him off by running up to him and entrapping him in a hug making him stumble back slightly

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" He asked worryingly but she only looked at him with a big smile

"I want a future with you" She said, eyes watering up slightly as she stared back into the eyes that were so filled with love, the eyes that cared for her, the eyes that only wanted the best things for her, there was no anger or disappointment or resentment. He loved her, he truly loved her.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you and I want to have kids, maximum three, and I want to live with you forever and watch them grow up and become just like just...i want to do all of it by your side, i-"

"Yeseul I can't..." Jaemin said cutting her off as he started to feel suffocated slightly by his rising heart rate

He wanted all of it. He wanted her, only her. But for how long was their relationship to last?

"What? You said that...you said we would go through everything....together?" She asked, a confused smile as her tears had fallen onto her cheeks

He pulled her into a soft kiss, only to pull away soon after and look into her eyes as his thumb swiped across her cheek.

"I...I got a date...for my surgery" he said slowly  and she could feel her heart drop

"That's a good thing...right? Why are you not happy...?" She asked with a shaky voice

"I'm too weak for anymore heart surgeries...this last one might just be...the one that ki-"

"No...you— you can't just leave me like that? Jaemin you can't leave!" She cried into chest ad he blinked away the tears that were forming in his own eyes

"Yeseu-"

"You can't leave me...please don't leave me" she said as she struggled to breath, the fast thumping of his heart against his chest was all that she had wanted to hear but now it was the one thing that made her unhappy.

"You were the best thing that ever happened to me, and I can't imagine living a life without you" he said into her hair as his tears fell down his cheeks, he didn't want her to see him this way. He wanted to be strong. He wanted to make it easy for her. He wanted to focus on loving her until his very last breath.
