Ellies POV

My dad told me we were going on a trip to see my uncle Charlie and his daughter Bella.

I knew that wasn't true.

We weren't on a trip.

He was driving me to my new home.

I didn't care.

He didn't love me anymore.

He never did after my mom died.

I'm not sure why but he does.

I think moving might be a good idea for me.

This way I make better friends and they dont feel bad for me or my family.

I wanted the fresh start.

"So when we get up there you're gonna stay for a couple days and keep Bella company" Jack said

"Sure but why aren't you staying" I ask pretending to be oblivious

"Oh there isn't enough room they only have three rooms so I'm going home I don't want to waste money on a hotel"

"Ok. What about school" I ask hoping to catch him out

"Well me and Charlie were speaking about you staying for the first term or so.... so I can get up on my feet again and you can keep Bella company and have a fresh start" He said I scoff

"Dad be honest you don't want me in the house anymore you don't care if i was having a depressing time at school you'd probably pat the people on the back for it."

"That's not true!" He shouted he then sighed "look I've been shitty since you mom died and you remind me of her so much I can't move on. A-and I know you aren't coping with the sympathy at school so a new one might help. I just think maybe this time away from eachotehr might do us some good. But I promise the moment you want to go home or I'm up on my feet and ready to be a father again mentally I will take you back in" He said "Okay?"

"Ok" I say quietly

"It's only for a term right? Unless you want to stay longer" He said

I just nod then go back to writing songs

We saw the sign saying welcome to forks and I look into the woods and see a family.

They were all pale and god-like I made brief eyecontact with one male.

He has shaggy blonde hair, pale skin and cold eyes. He showed no emotion yet I could tell what he felt. It was desire and pain.
