TW: Heartache, depression
If the words "I love you" were a promise.
You would have already broken that promise.
You would have left me torn and broken.
You would have never given me a second thought.
Because you never truly loved me, at least not in the way you told me.
You might have cared for me, but you never could love me.
Could you?
Of all the lies in the world,
"I love you" is my personal favorite.
It can always make my heart swell, but once I know that phrase was a lie, it will break me in seconds.
It is a lie that can grow into truth as well.
It can also be a half-truth.
It can be many things
