I smiled at them, and they called their dragon. They flew up in the sky, making some short of shape with the gas. They went up, down, in all directions doing all kinds of tricks and fancy rolls. Even from the floor, I could hear their laughs and yells. They eventually stopped, and looked at the piece of art they just did in the sky. It's a drawing of me, even if it wasn't perfect. But it made me smile and laugh. Then they lit it up with Belch, making the best fireworks I had ever seen. Boreas, being an ice dragon, couldn't shoot fire or make all of those fancy things. And sure, it was cool to make ice tricks, but fire ones were also amazing. I cheered them up, and Boreas roared in amusement.
The twins flew back down, smiling. I could definitely see ourselves being friends, now that no one wanted to kill anyone at least.
-That was so good! You guys are amazing!
-Really? Ya think so? -I didn't know if it was my imagination or not, but I swear I saw blushing on his cheeks.
-Usually all people call us is muttonheads, idiots, waste of oxygen...
-What about friends?
-Mh, nah, haven't heard that one.
-Nope, no really.
-Well you guys will hear it from me -I hugged both of them, and luckily they returned the hug.
Suddenly, the rest of the riders appeared from the sky on their dragons. They were carrying some dishes with food and glasses.
-Woah, how did you find us?
-I told ya, Hiccup is a psychic.
-I'm not. We just followed the fire and explosions.
-Okay that works too I guess -answered Tuff.
-So, since we know you want to stay out and all, we thought it would be a nice idea to have dinner all together here with you.
-It was my idea -said Snotlout.
-No it wasn't, it was Heather's.
-Aw, guys, that's so nice... But are you sure you guys are okay with this? I mean, it is cold.
-We'll be fine. Worst thing that can happen is Snotlout freezing to death.
-That's the worst thing? Then I wanna know what the best one is.
-"Then I wanna know what the best one is" mimimimimi. Shut up Alex.
We laughed ignoring Snotlout's wimps, and sat down on the snow. We made a campfire, which had to be really big since most of the Vikings, even if they didn't want to admit it, were almost freezing to death. Heather's cooking was as amazing as I remembered, and honestly being with all of them made me feel better. The dragons played around with Boreas too, so he didn't feel left out. I had a great time talking with everyone, even Snotlout. Astrid was actually sweet with me; Hiccup was worried about making me feel comfortable at their island; Heather was happy about having me back; Fishlegs was happy as Heather was happy, since he had a pretty big crush on Heather from what I could tell; Snotlout was actually tolerable for once in all the time I've known him; and the twins just, they were so nice. Ruffnut asked me stuff about how I was sinking boats, and Tuffnut mainly listened and then asked questions about what kind of chaos can one make with ice. After so many years, and even though I was in a place I had never seen before... I finally felt at home.
But still, even after spending time with them and getting to trust them, I felt a bit awkward sometimes. Well, not sometimes, just when a certain Viking looked at me. For some reason, the words of Fishlegs kept playing in my head. A match made in Valhalla? That was stupid. Besides, Boreas hadn't shot anyone but Snotlout or Heather. It was just a dumb saying. Just like the ones traders said about sinking boats and the survivors.
