Our feet hit the soft grass of Frey's training room. Most of his kids came here to train, his heir usually twice as much as the rest. Cedar and I used to hang out here often while his sister would train with their dad. Good thing we did since Cedar was the heir all along. I looked at Cedar seeing him looking around at the shocked people staring at us.
"You know I meant to ask you, have any of your Frey abilities started popping up?"
He looked at me a chuckled.
"Nope, still death and darkness here. I guess I am a late bloomer."
I laughed and turned seeing that the others now completely stopped fighting and were looking at me like I was going to kill them. Jeeze I didn't have that much of a temper. Mist surprisingly was the first to move. She came storming over and pointed her sword at my throat. The tip was sharp and I could see the sun glaring off of it. I tolled my eyes and moved it away with my two fingers.
"Nice to see you too, Mist. Nice sword by the way."
She glared at me.
"I wouldn't get too comfortable around us if I were you, demon boy."
"Demon boy or not, I still share the same royal blood as before. I would watch your tongue if I were you sparky or your tongue may not be around for your wapping."
She glared at me and I felt my vision start flickering. Cedar put a calming hand on my shoulder and I took a deep breath to calm myself. I nodded thanks to him and turned to the armed teens in front of me. The only ones not holding a weapon were my sister and the demigods. I turned my vision on Storm and Mist who both looked at me as if I was a monster. I was hurt. I grew up with those two. Heck one was my sister's best friend, they were always around the house. Reena stepped forward, I could see the hesitation in her eyes. That explains a lot. They were avoiding me because they were scared of me. I hardened my look and shrugged my shoulder out from under Cedar's arm.
"I know when I am not wanted here. I will leave you."
I stepped back and glared at the ashamed teens. I smirked at them.
"You know what, you want an heir to Loki...you got him."
I stomped my foot and the arena changed from lovely green grass and warm to cold, and dark. Ice spread around me like a cozy blanket. I snapped my finger and teleported back to my room. I screamed frustrated. I grabbed at my hair pulling at my locks as I sunk to the floor. Curse the demigods for dragging me out of here. Curse my best friend for thinking seeing the others would be good. Curse me for being so stupid. I punched the wall and the castle gave, creating a hole the size of my fist. Ice spread around me as tears streamed down my face. Even my sister looked at me like a monster. I know I am different. I can feel the war, they can't. I heard a knock on the door and pleads to let whoever was outside in but I ignored it. I cracked my neck, standing up. I held my hand out and the ax I crafted formed in my hand. I looked at my attire. I snapped my finders allowing my clothes to fade and black armor to appear. I felt my whole appearance change. I looked at the ice and the reflection staring at me was different. Very different. My eyes were a vivid blue. My hair was white but now had bright red streaks running through it. My veins along my arms and neck shone a dark blue like the energy within wanted to come out. Every dark power in me came out and where there was once white now was black. My teeth felt sharp and for once I was scared of my powers within. My door finally broke open from the banging that was happening outside. "Lorum! Lorum! Look at me. You can fight..."
I turned to Lash. I simply smiled at my father.
"I don't think I want to fight this anymore. I don't belong here. I will see you in 3 months...if I choose to come back."
I waved my hands to open a portal to the underworld. Two demon guards walked through looking at me with shocked expressions. I only smiled at them.
"Let the trials begin."
With that, I walked through the portal with the two demons looking surprised at my eagerness. Vidar's smile was the best sight I have seen and his daughter's shock at my appearance only made my smile grow.
"Your royal pain, your worst nightmare has arrived."
Vidar's glowing eyes seemed to grow brighter when he met my eyes. I may have been on one knee but I made sure to hold eye contact with the man that wanted to mark me so bad. The man I spoke to when I died. The man I promised he would get the full rath of my powers when I entered hell.
"Well, it is a night to see you, horsemen, for a while I thought you backed out of our deal?"
"You gave me time, I showed before needed. Sides, some revenge would be fun so why not a new deal?"
He chuckled but gestured for me to rise.
"The others want a "LOKI" The same Loki my grandfather was. Not the one my father was. Not someone that just causes "trouble" but one that strikes fear and blood into anyone near... why don't we give them one. I stay down here for my 3 months but rather that you try to break my will...we just shape me into what they all want. Something real to fear?"
Varana looked at me with pure shock. With sadness in her eyes. With betrayal in her eyes. The same look I had when she stabbed me in the back. Same look my father heard when I left through the portal. The same look I held when the others turned their back on me. The same look Cedar will hold when I break his will to join me. Her father though had a smile and got up from his throne and walked down the steps to stand before me. He smiled at me and held out his hand.
"Sounds like a wonderful plan...Loki."
I smile and let what I've been fighting to take over. If the others wanted something to fear. Something to hate so bad, then fine. I will do it. My vision flickered and went to a glowing blue. My skin shifted to the molten blue and the horseman mark shifted to show over my right eye. My hair remained white but the color that flickered in it shifted to bright red. My canines came to a point and I no longer was only a God but I was a God that people would fear.
