deelilahjc:
You don't like chips?

deelilahjc:
Jeremiah, what in this world do you actually like?

It takes a couple seconds for him to reply.

jremiah56:
What? I like chips

deelilahjc:
So then why did you feel irritated when I put one in my mouth?

jremiah56:
You felt me being irritated?

deelilahjc:
Thats the way I could explain how I just felt

jremiah56:
Wait, how can you tell when it's my emotions? Isn't it confusing?

deelilahjc:
Mostly yes! but, there are times when it's pretty distinct and also I gotta use common sense because these chips are my favorite so there's no way they'd irritate me

jremiah56:
So, I guess I also gotta give you a heads up when I'm about to feel anything?

jremiah56:
Seems pretty uncomfortable that you get strange emotions out of nowhere

I pause in the middle of taking another chip from the bag.

deelilahjc:
You giving me a heads up seems more uncomfortable and also kinda impossible

deelilahjc:
Like I said, they're emotions...there's nothing you can do about them

jremiah56:
But, you're straight up feeling my emotions though. If I was feeling someone else's emotions, I know i'd be very uncomfortable

I think back to the weekend when I'd just start crying out of nowhere and felt these really sad and heavy emotions. I won't lie, it disturbed the shit out of me. I couldn't properly focus on anything else. But, when my mom came home and told me his grandmother passed away, everything felt a tad better. Knowing the reason for the tears and sadness made things make more sense.

He is right. It is uncomfortable feeling someone else's emotions. It's confusing as hell when I'm feeling one way and this strange emotions shoots up out of nowhere but, emotions aren't something we can control. As much as I am annoyed or uncomfortable by it, I know that it's not his fault this is happening and he can't turn his feelings off no matter how hard he tries. Trying to get him to police his emotions would only make things worse.

I purse my lips and begin typing out a new message. The best course of action right now, would be to somehow change the subject.

deelilahjc:
If you don't mind me asking,, and you don't have to answer, why were you irritated just now?

He types on and off for a minute and just when I'm about to remind him that he doesn't have to answer the question, his reply comes through.

jremiah56:
My mom's stupid boyfriend came around again

jremiah56:
I don't like him

deelilahjc:
That's pretty understandable.

deelilahjc:
My mom once dated this creepy dude who kept staring at me every time he came over

deelilahjc:
I swear, shit gave me nightmares

jremiah56:
Did you tell your mom?

I roll my eyes, thinking back to my mom and I's constant arguments about him.

deelilahjc:
She said I was just imagining it bc I didn't like him 😒

A calming feeling comes upon me but it's fleeting.

jremiah56:
Sounds a lot like what my mom says everytime I'd tell her the shit henry does

jremiah56:
That and accusing me of trying to sabotage the relationship

deelilahjc:
Lol I'm sure my mom still thinks its my fault Jason broke up with her

jremiah56:
Damn I'm jealous

jremiah56:
Wish henry would do the same

deelilahjc:
I hope that happens for you

I proceed to put the chip into my mouth, noticing how I feel so much more calmer.

jremiah56:
Okay that's terrible

deelilahjc:
Your mom's boyfriend?

jremiah56:
No

jremiah56:
I mean yes but I'm talking about the chips.

jremiah56:
That's Fritos isn't it?

jremiah56:
the chili cheese one. I remember the crappy taste

I snicker, shaking my head because, I actually was expecting that.

deelilahjc:
Are there any actual food you like?

jremiah56:
The ones that aren't crappy, yes.
