-Liam's POV-
"No! You don't understand, Anna!" my dad shouted to my mum. "I'm leaving you."
"But, dad," I try to say that he shouldn't go. "No son, I'm going."
"Come on, Michael," my mum tried. "I do understand! Do it for Liam, don't leave us. Think of your son, if it isn't for me than do it for our son." Dad looked at me, "You could come with me, you know. We could build a new life," he pauses. "Together." I look at mum, terrified of what she's going to say.
She gives me a look, that look that you get when someone says something horrible to you. That look that says: "Don't listen to them." I knew that I shouldn't listen. I shouldn't listen to my mum. It's MY choice. Not my mums, not my dads, MY choice.
I thought through what would happen if I went to who knows where with my dad. We could build a new life, enjoy new things, discover the world again, get away from the bullies here at Eastbourne High and best of all, we could finally visit the US.
You'd think that the choice was made, but if I stayed here in Eastbourne... I won't have to leave my friends, we live in a pretty cool house and I don't think dad can do better and I won't have to pack my stuff.
