Society says men can't cry,
But what else are they supposed to do when they're sad?
Are they just not supposed to try?
Is that what makes some of them bad?
Society says men are abusers,
But what about when they're the one's being abused?
Do they just fake it for more views?
Can they really be the one's getting used?
Boys just want to get in your pants, they say,
But what do boys do when girls get in theirs?
Boys aren't allowed to hit girls, they say,
But how do they protect themselves the same way?
Society says that they can't.
Society pins them up against the brick wall,
It tells them that they all have to be tall,
It tells them everything that's wrong with them,
When many have done nothing at all.
If a man is abused, they're said to be lying,
But we leave them lying there,
More alone than the women who pretend to care,
Because a man can't cry,
And if he suffers, they leave him there to die.
