After dinner me and my daddy ended up washing the dishes together
"Um, me and Janae are gonna have a girls day tomorrow so I'll be spending the night." I said
"Mm, you've been with Janae a lot lately." He said before raising his eyebrow
"Just making the most out of senior year I guess." I shrugged before he nodded
"That's fine I trust you, just be safe ok?" He told me before I nodded and he kissed the top of my head before I looked down
After we finished I went upstairs before pulling out a duffel bag to start packing. Chris ended up FaceTiming me and I answered it before sitting the phone back down
"Ight so I got two tickets for 9:00am so we'll have to be at the airport by like 8:00." He said
"Thank you, but I haven't even looked into a rental yet-."
"All that is covered, you already stressing about a lot let this be the last thing you have to worry about." He told me before I smiled
"Well I talked to my Aunty, and she said it was ok for us to stay with her for the night." I said
"Aunty ? You never mentioned you had a Aunty in Brooklyn." Chris said
"Well she wasn't in town until the day before my ma passed so it wasn't really much to say about her." I shrugged before he nodded.
"But I'll drive to you, I told my dad me and Nae was having a girl's day." I said before he nodded
"That's coo, well I'll see you in the morning..?" He said before I nodded
"Goodnight." I told him
"Goodnight."

The next Morning
Chris-
Once the plane finally took off Saige had took a deep breath
"You ok?" I asked
"Yea I just don't know if I'm ready to know.." she said
"Once you find out it'll Lift some weight off of your shoulders." I said before she nodded
"But enough about me, how's life ?" She asked before I shrugged
"Nothing really, I got this in the mail today." He said before pulling a envelope out of his carry on.
It was a letter from LSU.
"Open it." She said before smiling and I sighed before handing it to her
She smiled before opening the envelope and her smile eventually faded.
"We regret to inform you that we will not be accepting your enrollment.." she read before he furrowed his eyebrows
"I'm sorry." She told me before I waved it off
"I have backup schools so I'm not stressing" I said before she placed her hand on top of mine
"You'll get plenty of offers." She reassured before I nodded
"Appreciate that."
