personality: she's able to think on her feet. she's a reliable pilot and friend, not to mention member of the resistance. she's stubborn, ridiculously so. it drives leia crazy how stubborn she is, but it is what it is. she is a teaser, meaning she will tease someone. if she teases you, she likes you. she knows when to be serious though, being there for her friends in their time of need. as much as people think she is, she's not arrogant. she knows her limits as a pilot and a person.

born and raised on coruscant, ensley saw a lot as a child. being born during the empire's reign on the planet that used to be protected by jedi, ensley and her family wrestled with the ideals behind the empire. they stayed hidden, not wanting the troopers to believe that they were traitors even in the slightest sense. so, when the empire finally came to an end, peace was in sight for the grey family.

when ensley was 5, her younger sister was born. jana missed a lot of the trauma ensley went through, which the older grey appreciated. both girls grew up to be best friends, which many parents would consider a rarity.

tragedy struck when the girls were 11 and 6. their parents, sasha and grant, were killed by an insurgence group. the girls managed to escape, young ensley commandeering a ship that was on a landing platform not too far from their house. reeling from the trauma, the sisters made their way out of coruscant space.

they took up residence on takodana, maz kanata taking them in while they got on their feet. seeing the potential ensley had for flying, maz got in touch with general leia organa. of course, ensley didn't start officially flying for the resistance until she was 27 years old after years of training. her sister joined the resistance too, but on the ground rather in the air.
