I shook my head. "Nope! All goods."
Akio then started fixing herself and I too started putting the tools away. I then grabbed my bag and headed to the kitchen to grab something to eat.
"Uh, Nixie? Aren't you coming back home with me?" She slightly tilted her head. "Oh! No. I need to study with Lucifer..." I swear I gave her the saddest smile that I can see here feeling bad for me. When someone knocked on the door and it opened.
I raised my hand and waved at Kohdor. Akio spun to look at him. "KD!" I called for him. He entered and stood in front of the door. I had called him to fetch Akio after an hour of her being here. Even if she didn't finish sweeping, I didn't want her to stay too long here. Kohdor waved back at us.
"I told him to come and fetch you."
"Really?" Akio couldn't believe it. "Yeah, it's late and I figured you need someone to walk you home.
Mammon then came running from the kitchen. Kohdor smiled at him and he scoffed as a reply. He looked at Akio. "I'm walking ya home. Humans are not supposed to walk around Devildom without the angels or one of us brothers. Ya all know that already!"
"But Nixie goes out without needing any of you. Even K, just now came here alone." Akio said pointing at us. I don't think she'd realize the dangers of walking around alone as a fragile little human, in a world full of demons that're hungry for human flesh and soul.
"Don't worry Mams. KD will protect her." I gave him a soft smile.
"What do ya mean?! Kohdor is a human too! And stop calling me "Mams" will ya?!"
"I'll be taking care of Akio, so don't worry Mams. Akio, let's go." Kohdor told him before looking at Akio, giving her a reassuring smile.
Akio went to him and they headed out but of course not without Mammon protesting about it.
"Wait! Hold up!" Mammon tried to run after them but I held his jacket, keeping him in the same spot. He finally realized he wasn't at all moving and stopped. I let go of his jacket. He turned to me, realizing what was stopping. "How in the heck did ya do that?" I just shrugged as he looked at me baffled.
Mammon then grabbed both my cheeks and stretched it. "Ow fucken stop!" I exclaimed. "I know what you're trying to do, you little cheeky human!" He pinched hard. "OW! Bish I don't know what you're talkin' about!!!" I slapped his hands away from my face and caressed both my burning cheeks. "And what makes ya think that you and that KoHdOr can just walk around Devildom without any company from us?! Ya gonna get us in trouble with Lucifer if something bad happens to ya two!"
I brushed him off, "Nahhh... We're good on our own. Nothing bad will happen to us." I told him as I made my way to the kitchen. He followed suit. "What do ya mean?! Ya two did prove to us that you're both athletic and quick but it doesn't mean you won't end up eaten by demons on the streets!" I let out a loud HAH before opening the fridge. "Have you forgotten where we came from? Basically a world with monsters in it. We know how to handle places like Devildom, mkay?" I smirked at him before looking through their fridge.
He scoffed. "Still! He's walking around the streets filled with demons, at night! A little human with him too! I'm telling ya, the two of them are walking chicken drumsticks to the demons!" I grabbed an apple from the fridge. Wait, this isn't a normal apple? It's green with purple icing on top. I shrugged and bit it. "If you're worried about Akio, jush shay it." I teased him while munching on the strange apple. It tasted sweet but a little sour. It wasn't half bad. Mammon tensed and blushed, so red I could see it through his sunglasses. This fool, sunglasses at night. THE SUN DON'T EVEN SHINE IN DEVILDOM.
