I've done the best I can do
To stay strong for you
And for the future of our relationship
I hope you're proud of me
I smile when I hug you
We laugh when we cook together
My stomach flips with joy
When I see you from a mile away
My heart is full when I get the love
That nothing else other than you and
God can give to me
When you're not around
Life just feels empty
It's hollow and joyless
When I spend time with you,
Over the phone
Or in person,
My eyes light up
When I hear your voice,
My stress calms
And my spirit is peaceful
When in doubt,
You reassure me good
When in pain,
You treat me graciously
When angry,
You hug me and tell me,
"Everything will be ok. It always turns out right. Just look to Jesus and he will guide you down the right path"
