Detective Mendez left the cafe inside the mall after investigating the case inside. A girl in short hair ran behind him and called his name, "Sir Mendez! Sir!" she called.
With an irritated expression he turned around, "What? Didn't I tell you that we can meet at the office later?"
A girl in 3/4 suit and pants stood in front of him, the name Alec Trona in her laced ID can be seen. She's an intern in the Forensic unit that is currently handled by Detective Loki Mendez. She's still new in this field that's why she's with Mr. Mendez today for her training.
"Naiwan n'yo po kasi itong anak n'yo. Dinala n'yo po pala dito, gagala po ba kayo after this investigation?" usal nito.
Loki's brows furrowed then looked down at the child that his intern is holding.
A little child in black and messy hair looked up in him with a cold stare.
"I don't have a child" Loki replied, still staring at the child.
"Huh? P-pero magkamukha po kayo oh, hindi n'yo po anak ‘to?" tanong ni Alec habang pabalik-balik ang tingin sa dalawang lalaki.
"Where did you see him?" Loki asked back. "Uhh, nandoon po siya malapit sa crime scene. Nagtatanong din po siya ng tungkol po sa kaso kaya akala ko po ay anak n'yo dahil parang mahilig din po mag-imbestiga" the intern explained.
Loki kneeled down so he can see the child up close, hinawakan niya ito sa magkabilang balikat at nilapit sa kaniya.
