"Kimiko-sama..." Says Ace wearily, glancing up at me.

"It's her choice, Ace. Not ours," Was all I say. We watch as Hisui raises her trembling hands and grips the katana. Goro just gazes up at her blankly.

"What are you waiting for, Princess?" He questions when she still doesn't move. "Don't you want revenge on your mother and father? You're weak—just like they were."

With tears of anger leaking from her eyes, Hisui lets out a cry of rage and brings my katana down. Goro doesn't even flinch as it slams into the earth right beside him, missing his body completely.

Hisui slowly removes her trembling hands from my sword and meets Goro's eyes. "I'm not a murderer, unlike you! You will be punished, Goro of the Garasu, but you'll be given a more fitting punishment than death."

I smile knowingly at a surprised Ace. After a moment, he smiles back at me.

🗡🗡🗡

A few weeks pass while we all recover from the fight with the Garasu clan. I was the one with the worst of injuries, but I didn't let that stop me from escaping the hospital.

My teammates would often drag me back, though.

Kakashi, Shino, Hinata and Kiba had taken out and captured the rest of the Garasu clan. They've been given a life sentence along with Goro.

Ken has also fully recovered and confessed his love to Hisui. We were having a celebration at the palace the night before we return home, and Hisui was scheduled to sing.

I munch down on food as I grumble, "Mhm! This is delicious!"

"You should probably slow down there, Kimi-chan," Kiba tells me.

"I'm starving after spending all that time in the hospital! Let me eat."

Kakashi chuckles, having finished his meal already.

"Well, I'm just glad it's finally over," Says Hinata. We nod in agreement.

"Indeed," Says Shino.

Suddenly, the people in the banquet hall around us clap as the lights dim slightly. We turn our heads to the makeshift stage where Hisui stands, wearing a beautiful layered kimono and hat of the Feudal Lord.

She says into the microphone, "I now declare that music shall fill these halls and this land once more!" We all cheer and clap at that. She smiles in content at us, before switching her gaze to Ken. "I'd like to dedicate this song to the people who helped me find my light again."

"Looking up to the evening star,
All our memories come back to my mind,
And I don't know who I am... anymore.
Time can heal almost everything,
And a song is the friend I'm looking for
To remember what's inside... my heart.
Tonight, the star is what I need,
To close my eyes and make a wish,
Tonight, the star is shining bright,
Even brighter than my dreams!
Brightest Star!
I can see you up in the sky,
A diamond over the moonlight,
I know you'll be there for me.
Brightest Star!
Far away, yet close to my heart,
You can see to the real me,
You're the brightest star tonight!
You're the brightest star tonight!
A diamond over the moonlight.
Now I'm here, now I'm ready to fly.
I just wonder if you'll be by my side,
'Cause I know,
I can find my way,
I can find my reason why!
Tonight, the star is what I need,
To close my eyes and make a wish,
Tonight, the star is shining bright,
Even brighter than my dreams!
Brightest Star!
I still see you up in the sky,
A diamond over the moonlight,
I know you'll be there for me.
Brightest Star!
Far away, yet close to my heart,
You can see to the real me,
You're the brightest star tonight!
You're the brightest star tonight!
Brightest Star!
A diamond over the moonlight.
Brightest Star!
I know you'll be there for me.
Brightest Star!
Far away, yet close to my heart,
To the real me,
I'm the brightest star tonight!
I'm the brightest star tonight!
A diamond over the moonlight."
