(Yours Series # 5) Always Yours (COMPLETED)

Chapter 11

Naglakad ako papunta sa kanila. I was wearing my pastel green linen dress and my Oran sandals. I was also wearing my perfume because I noticed that Chester liked it.

Nanlaki iyong mata ni Chester nang makita niya ako. Agad siyang humarap sa akin. "Akala ko nasa bahay ka?" he asked, his attention on me.

I nodded. "Yeah, but Manang baked some muffins, so I figured that I'd go here para dalhan ka," I said. Tumingin ako roon sa kausap niya. I smiled at her. "Hi," I introduced myself. I saw that she's an intern. "I'm Gracey," I said.

"Hi. Nice to meet you," she replied. "I better go," she added before she hurried away. I frowned. Was I mean? Wala naman akong balak na sungitan siya or what. I just wanted to introduce myself.

Tumingin ako kay Chester.

"Masungit ba ako?" I asked, but when I looked at my boyfriend, he was about to have his second bite of the muffin. Dang, he's so cute!

"Hindi naman," he replied.

I pouted. "Okay," I said. I was just being paranoid. Chester's not giving me any reason to be jealous naman. He was literally just talking to the woman.

"Patapos na duty ko," he replied while he was still enjoying the muffin.

"I know!" I said, grinning, because I missed spending time with him! Ang hirap talagang maging busy. But true to his words, sinisingit niya ako sa schedule niya.

"May nakita akong apartment. Tignan natin?"

"Malapit lang dito?"

He nodded. "Walking distance."

"Oh, that's nice. Okay. I'll wait for you na lang sa café," I said kasi may one hour pa bago matapos iyong duty niya.

"Dito ka na lang. Sundan mo ako sa rounds."

"Ano ako? Intern mo?"

"Girlfriend ko."

I immediately blushed. It's been almost month since we started dating, but the word boyfriend was still making me blush!

I made a face to hide the fact na pinakilig niya na naman ako. "I'll just wait for you sa coffee shop," sabi ko sa kanya. "Do you want me to order you anything in advance para kakain ka na pagdating mo?" I asked.

Umiling siya. "May muffins ako," he said like he was rather proud na may muffins siya. He's so freaking cute! Napatingin siya sa phone niya. "Have to go," he added. "Thanks for this. Hintayin mo ako mamaya," he replied. He was about to lean in for a kiss but he paused when he probably remembered that we were still inside the hospital. We have this rule na no kiss while at work because delikado! Ilang beses na kaming—

Gosh, it's been a hard month!

"Mamaya na lang sa sasakyan," he said as he took a step back bago kumaway and umalis na siya. I stayed there for a while as I watched my boyfriend leave. It was worth the drive kahit out of the way pauwi na sana.

Pagdating ko sa coffee shop, I ordered a cup of coffee and a slice of cake to accompany me. I was reading some medical journal to keep me updated. After a while, napatingin ako sa harap ko because someone pulled the chair. I thought it was Chester, but my forehead creased when I saw a familiar face.

"Richard," the guy said. "We went on a couple of dates?"

My lips parted in recognition. "Oh, right. Hi!" sabi ko. I remembered because he's one of the few nice guys I met sa mga blind dates ko. It almost worked out for the two of us, but he had to go abroad for some business. We both decided not to pursue it. Ewan. There was nothing that really pushed me to even ask him na i-try namin iyong LDR. And to be honest, not a big fan of LDR.
