taehyung had an argument with his parents. he had told them about his A in biology, but they didn't even really show a reaction, always seeing it as self-evident for him to bring perfect grades.

he told them that it makes him sad when they're never proud of him and he feels a lot of pressure because of it, scared of receiving a bad grade. he wouldn't know what he did if he got a C or something. he would probably have a panic attack and be too scared to come home.

they just told him that it's good that way so he keeps on working and they wouldn't accept bad grades.

he talked back then, which led to his mother yelling at him, causing him to start crying, running upstairs to his room.

jeongguk reads the messages, didn't expect taehyung to slip into little space so soon again. but it doesn't bother him at all.

he gets soft reading the message, his stomach feeling funny at the thought of taehyung being with him, behaving like a literal baby and sucking on his thumb.

jeongguk is close to losing it when he sees the picture. the other's face is stained with fresh tears, cheeks again a pretty pink and his puppy eyes big, looking directly into the camera. the lighting in his room is dimmed, soft and warm, looking like a comfortable atmosphere.
