A/N: Sorry this was late, edgenuity is a bitch
The child sitting across the table from Chuuya had this off into space stare. He felt small still in the chair. Projecting his voice he announced "Well thank you for the chat, I'm going to..." as Chuuya sidestepped Dazai pivoted by his hips, not missing a second of eye contact. "stay completely still in terror!" Chuuya squints his eyes "Why are you doing that?"
"I don't know myself." Dazai says oddly calmly.
Eventually, Chuuya's eyes relaxed and both of them stood still in silence as their eyes locked upon each other. The seconds held an eternity between them. What was Dazai doing anyway? Dazai's eyes felt rich and deep and at this point, Chuuya had no choice but to keep staring at his alluring eyes. The layers of light that reflected in his iris, especially in the soft light of his apartment, Could no longer be shrugged off as objective.
"I should turn away" Dazai argued with himself. "He doesn't want me to obsess over him." he kept saying to himself. His eyes are so light they might as well be gray, the blue right before the sunset. The radial strings that spiraled from his pupil, the feint white lines. His eyes were so beautiful he had to keep himself from crying at the sight
The two had let themselves into their own little world with each other.
-Chuuya-
How could they get out of this? It's not like they both don't know what's going on. What it means is more important.
Chuuya walked to Dazai and brushed the hair out of his face again. "What am I even trying for?" he clips Dazai's hair back "don't lose them this time, let's head out." grabbing his jacket and hat Chuuya opens the door. "Well?"
"Jeez time flies!" He says in the alley as they smoke. "It was just 11 wasn't it?" Dazai ran around the small lot with a lot of energy seeing as he hasn't eaten.
Chuuya threw down his cigarette and put it out with the heel of his boot. "Come on Dazai"
Walking to the club would take some time so Dazai took up his usual odd hobby of jumping onto the fences of tree planters. "Dazai there isn't even anybody on the sidewalk!" What kind of show-off. Chuuya would never change it but he was resentful of the thin heels on his boot. However, he heard the beautiful clacking noise it made on the concrete and he lost the disappointment quickly.
They spotted the pink club from blocks away. "Dazai, I have to ask, have you actually been to a nightclub before?"
Dazai took Chuuyas hands in his, locked eyes "No, i'm so excited!"
Why did mori even ask him to go, couldn't he have sent me alone? Dazai is so careless he'll jeopardize the mission. "Ok Dazai, two rules, don't leave without me, and don't drink. I'm not taking care of you after the job is done."
Dazai tripped backwards into the tree and flailed his arms frantically. He was lucky the grass was there his jacket would've hardly been saved. "I wanna have fun at a club!" He started a terrible fake cry and Chuuya was having thoughts about ditching him.
"Thats nice, can we do our jobs now?"
"Fine! only if you promise to take me to a club later!"
"If you're flirting, i'm not interested." Chuuya couldnt hold in the vexation as they moved closer to the club "Why not you grow up a bit instead of making my life difficult."
"I'll be nice"
"Let me guess... If-"
"If you take me to a nightclub!" Dazai interrupted
Chuuya groaned at the circular argument, he always does this. "Not worth it, ask your daddy."
"Mori is not my dad!" Dazai yelled
"ooohhhh touched a nerve did I? I'm sorry I hurt your little baby feelings Dazai"
"Where did you even get the idea?" Dazai continued "I'm hurt, we're talking about Mori here."
Chuuya made a sharp turn "Would you look at the time! Looks like im busy, don't do something I'll regret mackerel."
-Dazai-
Free of Chuuya, Dazai ran to the bar "Can I get a Bloody Mary please?" he hands he bartender money and waits for the drink. He missed Chuuya already, he was so pretty wasn't he? His hair, his strident voice. The way he cares for Dazai even though he hated him. Dazai looked out at the crowd, trying to find somebody to distract him from the obsession. He wanted to see anything but Chuuya in the crowd. Everywhere he looked he was reminded of him. His hair repeated on each woman that caught his gaze. He started spinning in his chair at how fast he wanted to interpret the room.
The sound of a drink brought him to his senses. He grabbed the drink and inhaled it. He got up and wandered. Just... wandered. Through the mass in the room. It felt so empty.
He found his way back to the bar and ordered shots. He could feel his shell with as much alchohol possible. Whatever could get him to stop thinking. The crowd no longer felt so dull, he took it all in. He forgot how popular he was while worrying about Chuuya, his body moved on it's own as the music hypnotized him. Everyone around him crazed him. He felt the alchohol course through his system.
He suddenly felt stuck in the full nettles of the crowd. He didn't have the strength to push past them anymore. The snap had him rustling through the crowd until he made his way to the entrance. He vomited this thin bile and his throat did not forgive him. Chuuya weeded his way back into his mind. He remembered why he wanted to forget quickly.
-Chuuya-
The bullet behind his head entered swiftly with a calming pop sound. Chuuya felt the body leave the victims hair slip through his fingers. "Ugh, blood on my gloves" The same cold steps echo through the hall as Chuuya walks to wash his gloves.
The water rippling secondhand to his skin makes him shudder.
Walking down the stairs from the club the noise from his shoes is crowded out and Chuuya remembers why he doesn't enjoy clubbing. As he walks from the crowd to the door he feels his magneticism on his arms and torso. All these strangers gripping him and touching him makes him feel like cattle. The sooner he can find himself to the bar the better. Each step he takes is an effort to fight through the mass of simpleminded kids.
Chuuya hated that he had to take Dazai to a club, their the same age.
The bar came into his view quickly and Dazai managed to avoid it. He stood on top of the bar to find him in the crowd. Nobody matched his partner in the mob of strangers. Running to the street, he finds Dazai sitting in the planter he took comfort in earlier.
"Chuuya go away. I'm not getting scolded by somebody shorter than me. You may not scold me Chuuya."
"Thats a lot of name calling there fish boy"
"it's not fair that you left me alone."
"I know, I know, that was irresponsible, lets get you home and sober."
"Too many people... shots are difficult... people are so touchy Chibi" Chuuya supressed his urge to say "I know Dazai, I was there"
Dazai couldn't hold his body up, Chuuya was using corruption instead of carrying Dazai in such an awkward position. His incessant complaining ticked Chuuya off. He didn't want a problem tonight.
