Campbell's POV
I back up from the now confused girl and go into a corner where no one is, I feel the room spinning and I feel my anxiety getting the best of me as I get flashbacks to earlier today
Late yesterday
I come downstairs to see my father and Cal sitting on the couch, I frown my eyebrows at them as they look towards me
"Campbell, sit down we have to talk to you" Cal says
"What's going on" I say confused as I sit down in front of the men who look uncomfortable being in the same room as each other
"Campbell....we have bad news" My father says causing me to look at him, he has no emotion in his face, almost like he's doesn't really care about what he has to say
"What is it dad" I say causing Cal to look down sadly
"Your mother.....was found dead in a motel a few towns over" My father says nonchalantly
I feel my heart sink in my stomach as I look between the two men and down to the floor as I take things in
"She has been dead for a few days....the funeral arrangements will be made soon but we just wanted you to know" Cal says sadly, I immediately leave the room as both Cal and my father call after me but I ignore them
I make it to the stairs and see Nate standing outside my door, I look at him with a glare as I wipe my tears
"It's upsetting...what happened to your mother, would be a shame if that were to get out" Nate says in passive aggressive tone
"I don't have time for you Nate" I say going to walks past him but he grabs my arm
"I think your gonna wanna listen to me for a sec Campbell.......I'm going to need to you do something for me, in exchange for your secrets being held" Nate says as his grip tightens on my arm, I glare at him evilly as I think of every way to cause his slow pain and agony
"What do you want" I say coldly
Day of the Halloween party
"Thank you for meeting me Campbell, I'm happy to see that your injuries are clearing up...so what did you need to meet me for" The detective says curiously
"I wanted to share....what happens that night" I say slowly causing the detective to lean forward
"Oh well go ahead sweetheart, what is it" She says and I sigh heavily
"The day of the carnival, I was walking in the back and.....I saw Maddy getting attacked by some random guy and I...I ran and punch him and he punched me back....the fight progressed till he knocked me down and ran" I say, the detective leaned back in her chair and looked me over
"Are you telling me the truth Campbell" She says tenderly, almost motherly
"......yes ma'am that's what happened" I say, she nods and writes some things down, we finish up and I walk out of the police station and to the truck parked outside
"You did what we agreed on" Nate says causing me to to look at him stone faced
"Yes, now you better keep your end of the deal" I say, he just smirks at me lightly before pulling out of the parking lot
Back to the present
I finally get my breathing under control and walk back to the kitchen area and I see Kat looking at me a certain way, like she's checking me out not so subtly
I sigh and pour myself a drink and see Rue and Lexi next to me along with Jules, I ignore their worried glances and look at my drink with slight hesitation
"Campbell what's going on with you tonight" Lexi says but I don't get to respond when suddenly everyone starts chanting
"NATE NATE NATE NATE NATE" Everyone chants, I look up and see Maddy and Nate walking over to where we are, I clench my jaw in anger as I take in what they came as
Bonnie and Clyde
I see him pour them both drinks and he looks at me as he down his and pulls her into a kiss, his eyes open and him and I make eye contact before he glances to Jules as well, I look away and take my shot before looking back and seeing Maddy looking at me too
She looks tired but content which pisses me off more
"Looks like your bodyguard is.....busy" Anna says coming out of nowhere, I look at her with weak glare before making my way through the crowd and to the dance floor
I start dancing with this girl and she grinds her ass into me as i feel the effects of the alcohol staring to come in, suddenly the girl is pushed out of the way and Kat appears in front of me
"Hey Campbell" Kat says flirtatiously as she starts to dance with me, I nod my head and put my hands on her hips as she grinds into me hard, I grind with her and start to feel myself get....excited
"Wanna head upstairs" Kat says and she grabs the back if my next and puts her head on my shoulder, I kiss her neck and continue to grind with her
"Let's head upstairs" I say causing her to grab me and pull me up the stairs and to an empty bedroom, she throws me on the bed and starts sucking on my neck as she grinds on me
I grab her face and kiss her hard as we start kissing sloppily and it's gets progressively more heated and escalates more and more
The next day
I wake up with a pounding headache clung me to groan, I rub my eyes as I sit up and feel a cold chill on me causing me to look down and realize....I'm naked, great I hooked up with someone
I sigh and get up before going into the bathroom and showering with a new bar of soap, I find a new deodorant and put on my old clothes from last night before exiting the bathroom and seeing Kat sitting up on the bed looking at me with a smile
"Hey sexy" She says causing me to look at her confused then it hits me
I FUCKING HOOKED UP WITH KAT
"You were great last night" Kat says as she sits up and exposes her chest to me, my eyes instantly go down and then back up to her eyes
"Thanks...so were you" I say with a smirk as I look her up and down and lick my lips
"You look like you wanna go for another round" Kat says getting up and walking over to me, she stands in front of me naked with a smirk on her face and I feel myself getting hard again
"I could go for another....or more" I say before throwing my jacket and pulling Kat into the bathroom and staring the shower
I don't know if this is the right decision but Maddy chose Nate so ima have seem fun till she realizes what she's missing
