Jhanvi: We ordered it from the same place we always do and Gauri prepared it herself

S: Gauri would never do such a thing.

Sweety: Maybe the batch was faulty this time. Poor Annika's mehendi ceremony is ruined now

Chanda: It's okay Aunty, we have also brought some mehendi, just to be safe. We can use that for now and someone can go get more for everyone

Daadi: Good thinking Chanda, we need to get the ceremony done at the auspicious time. Girls, start applying mehendi to Annika

S: Chanda, wait. First, apply it to my hand. We can't take another chance

A: Shivaay!

Chanda: Annika relax, I mixed this mehendi myself, it's safe. And I'll test it out on my own palm first

Chanda applied a few drops on her arm and then gave it to the mehendi designers.

Gauri and Priyanka returned

Jhanvi: Prinku, are you okay?

Priyanka: Yes, I'm fine now, gauri bhabhi gave me an ointment

All the women and Shivaay got mehendi drawn on their hands.

A few hours later, everyone cleaned their mehendi and got dressed for the sangeet. They began the ceremony with a dance-off between Om-Gauri, Rudra-Bhavya, and Chanda-Rohit, Neil-Sneha. The judge, daadi, couldn't pick a winner so they declared a tie.

Annika noticed Shakti watching the ceremony from the first floor, he was smiling looking at how happy Shivaay was.

Next, all the youngsters danced together to a romantic number with Shivaay and Annika in the center. They ended the night with everyone dancing to the beats of the drum.

Annika pulled Shivaay along the poolside

S: Is someone getting naughty thoughts?

He winked at her but got a smack on his arm in return.

A: I want to talk to you about something.

S: ok but first I need a kiss. We won't be able to see each other until the wedding now

She gently pecked him on his cheek.

A: Daadi told me that the groom is supposed to give the bride a wedding gift. I know what I want from you

Shivaay placed his arms on her waist, pulling her closer.

S: Ok, tell me

A: I want you to invite Shakti uncle to the wedding

S: If this is some sort of joke or prank, it sucks.

A: I'm serious, Shivaay

His arms slipped from her waist and he took a step backward, surprise and anger colored his face a shade of red Annika hadn't seen on his face in a long time

S: Why? How? How could you?

He was still trying to gather his emotions

A: I know how you feel about him

S: And still you want me to invite him to our wedding. Do you think I'd ever want him anywhere near us on such a happy day?

A: Shivaay, I'm not asking you to reconcile with him or anything. Just let him be there, as a guest, not even as your father. Just a spectator

S: So he could curse our married life. NO!

A: He's not what he used to be, Shivaay. He has changed and he wants to be better. He gave me your mom's bangles.

She pulled out the box from her clutch and showed it to him

A: Your mom wanted to give these to your fiance on your engagement. Shakti uncle told me how excited she was, she had started collecting jewelry for your future wife long back

S: and because of him she couldn't give these to you herself, because of him she isn't here to see us get married.

A: But she would want you to get along with him. She loved you both a lot and you know it stressed her out to see you fighting, think about how she would feel seeing her son hate her husband so much. He's not the monster he was, he just wants you to be happy. And I know it's hard for you to see that, I would never force you to do anything that would cause you any pain.

S: Don't push me, Annika. I'm not going to talk to him let alone invite him. And how could you ask me for such a thing, Annika? You're thinking about how he feels, what about me? Do you even care how I feel?

A: How can you say that, Shivaay, that I don't care about you? You are my life, I care about you the most

S: You always do what you want, make demands that you know I'm not comfortable with. I want to give you the world and you ask me for the one thing that would hurt me the most

A: Please Shivaay, do this for me, it's a request

S: I need some space right now, please go.

Saying that he started walking away

A: Shivaay... Shivaay...

She called out but he didn't listen and went to his room. Chanda came looking for her and they left.
