Gather round!! Gather round!!

Hagrid was loud!! He was like a monster getting angry. Well, he was. He was angry. The Slytherins got to class 10 minutes late and then we had to walk into the forest for 5. We should have started the lesson 10 minutes ago. Draco was the main reason. He said that he didn't know where to go because there was no sign saying this way. It said on his timetable to come to his hut!!

"Everyone gather 'round the fence here!" he said. "That's it — make sure yeh can see — now, the first thing you'll want to do is open yer books —"

 "How?" said Draco.

 "Eh?

How do we open our books?" Malfoy repeated. He took out his copy of The Monster Book ofMonsters.

Everyone then takes out the books and I take my wand out, let it snap at me, and then stroke the spine.

"See you here everyone!! Molly has done it!!

How?

Brother, we have this book at home. Remember?

You are not my sister.

Yes, I am. You can't get rid of me.

Righ' then," said Hagrid, who seemed to have lost his thread, "so — so you got yer booksan'... an'... now yeh need the Magical Creatures. Yeah. So I'll go an' get 'em. Hang on..."

He strode away from them into the forest and out of sight.

"God, this place is going to the dogs," said Malfoy loudly. "That oaf teaching classes, my father have a fit when I tell him —

 Shut up, Malfoy," Harry said.

"Careful, Potter, there's a Dementor behind you —

Oooooooh!" squealed Lavender Brown, pointing toward the opposite side of the paddock.

I take out my wand and pointed it at him.

"Rictusempra!!"

Every single Slytherin then pointed their wands at me while Draco is on the floor laughing.

S-Stop!! Un-Un jinx mmmmmeeeeeeeeee!!!!

They all tried but it wouldn't work. Hagrid came in, looked at Malfoy, then at me, and jerked his head to Draco.

Finite!!

I will get you for that.

And let me do it again?

Alright!! Now, Hippogriffs!!

They were soaring in the sky. They were amazing!! They hadthe bodies, hind legs, and tails of horses, but the front legs, wings, and heads of what seemed tobe giant eagles, with cruel, steel-colored beaks and large, brilliantly, orange eyes. The talons on their front legs were half a foot long and deadly looking.

"Now, firs' thing yeh gotta know abou' Hippogriffs is, they're proud," said Hagrid. "Easily offended, Hippogriffs are. Don't never insult one, 'cause it might be the last thing yeh do. Yeh always wait fer the Hippogriff ter make the firs' move," Hagrid continued. "It's polite, see?Yeh walk toward him, and yeh bow, an' yeh wait. If he bows back, yeh're allowed ter touch him.If he doesn' bow, then get away from him sharpish, 'cause those talons hurt. Right — who wants ter go first?"

Nobody wanted to go. I was going to step forward but Harry then stepped forward.

"Tha's it," said Hagrid."Tha's it, Harry... now, bow."

After a while Buckbeak then did a long bow.

"Well done, Harry!" said Hagrid, ecstatic. "Right — yeh can touch him! Pat his beak, go on!"

"Righ' then, Harry," said Hagrid. "I reckon he migh' let yeh ride him!"

He looked so surprised that I giggled a little. Malfoy gave me a look and I looked at him. His eyes were pleading to stop being an embarrassment and a little regret for what he said. He then gave a grin and I felt the world fall apart. Draco was up to something. I quickly snapped out of it and stared at Hagrid. He saw me and nodded. I walked out of there and headed up the stairs to the Headmaster's office for a chat.
