Chapter 02

Guilt

I thought it was the last time I would see the stranger but I was wrong. My brows furrowed at the sight of him entering the classroom. I waited for minutes until he would realize he came on the wrong room but it seems like that will never come.

I opened my bag to take my notebook out. I don't plan to involve myself with him again anyway kaya kung maging magkaklase man kami ay bahala na.

I sighed in confusion when I saw the stranger beside me.

It didn't even acknowledge my presense at all.

Well, it's no big deal for me since later on we won't be seatmates because naturally we will be seated alphabetically. I just sat beside him in silent while I write things on my notebook.

Almost all of them glanced at his way as if there's a magnetic field that surrounds him and people are easily attracted.

Through their eyes I could see recognition and somewhat sense of inferiority. I assumed they know him already. He must have studied here during junior high. Although I also noticed that they couldn't remain eye contact with him because of the intimidation the guy beside me has.

After they stopped watching him, they would glance at my side and I would watch how their brows furrowed as if they're thinking who the hell am I to sit beside him.

The other students immediately adverted their eagle eyes on him when the teacher entered the room.

"Stand up. Flag ceremony is airing." the teacher commanded as she put her things on the surface of the table which we obliged.

I'm not familiar yet with the school anthem but I'm sure I'll get by.

"Kindly bear in mind that ceremony is done inside the classroom from mondays to thursdays but we'll do the lowering ceremony on the field on fridays." panimulang explanation ng adviser namin pagkatapos ng ceremony.

She then wrote her name on the board and began telling basic information about her and the school's regulations.

"Alright. There shall be no classes on first day but we'll start by introducing yourselves starting from that row."

Some grunted in disagreement however our adviser mocked them by grunting back with sarcasm.

"I am aware that some of you were classmates in junior high but we should start our first day with formality as well as respect for those new students. So, kindly start the introductory."

Some of them nonchalantly listened to me.
