     "So how do I get the mod again?" Dream, popular media streamer and world-class gamer questioned his co-star and greatest friend. But with only static at the end of his multi-hundred dollar phone, he tried again. "Sapnap! Hello?! Did you forget about the only person dumb enough to be associated as your friend?"

"Shit you idiot, I must have forgotten your existence," a cocky and bored voice answered from the other side. "No dumbass, I didn't. Did you download the software extension?"

"Software extension...?" Dream readjusted in his black gaming chair to get more comfortable and lifted a sun-kissed hand to his dirty-blond hair. "Which one do I look for?"

"Dream!" Sapnap shouted into the microphonse. "I just told you, like, 10 seconds ago! You need to download Minecraft Bedrock Mod Adapter!" Sapnap quickly stuffed his keyboard into its case and grabbed his headphones.

"uh... Minecraft Bedrock Mod Adapter... is it the same as MBMA?" Dream quickly scrolled through the options that came up below the search he inputted. 

"Dream, I really gotta go," Sapnap closed his carry-on backpack decorated with his signature fire emblem. He whipped on his panda onesie and zipped it up. "My flight leaves in 10 bro."

"Shit, sorry Sap- listen, I'll figure this out by tomorrow so when you visit Karl we can film the vid," Dream mentally slapped himself for forgetting about his best friend's plans.

"It's chill dude," Sapnap flipped his hood over his head. "Alright, I'll call you tomorrow and see you next week! Can't believe I'll finally be visiting you again."

"Yeah, I'm excited too," Dream leaned back in his chair and smoothed the wrinkles on his white T-shirt. "Have a safe flight man."

"See ya," and with that, Sapnap hung up.

 So, Dream, left by himself and his lonely 10-bedroom Florida house, got to work on downloading the mod.

You would think, after years of experience with all things computers, Dream would have been able to figure it out. But unfortunately for him and his air-conditioning-less office, this was not the case. 

"Fuck it," Dream exclaimed. Exasperated and hungry, he downloaded the closest-looking software he could find that matched Sapnap's description. Satisfied, he got up from his oak desk. He opened the step-in closet to the left of his desk and put on the first green hoodie he could find. Then, by habit, went to look for Patches.

"Come here girl," he cooed, eventually finding his feline friend under the dining room table. "Let's get something to eat." Dream began cooking his mom's signature spahgetti recipe. After devouring the last fork-full of pasta, he headed back to his office to check on the download.

Dream grasped the cold handle of his office door and stepped inside the minimalistic space. He sat down at his office, which was just next to a window with a gorgeous view of a nearby beach. He hummed to himself as he took control of his mouse and awakened the black display of his monitor. The bar had just loaded fully and registered the generic "100% Download Complete" text- which was expected. What was not expected however, was all three of his monitors turning a stark-white color and them immediately turning a bright neon turquoise afterward. Taken aback, he took his hands off his keyboard and stared, shocked, at the monitors. "...what." Then, on his left monitor, appeared the symbol ":]" and on his middle, the text: "ERROR 404" in large font. But perhaps most surprising of all, was the very pretty brunette that popped out of the screen.

"HI!"

hello everyone ! Most of you will probably have come from pinterest, where i found the fanart that inspired this once again ! 

a little backstory that no one cares about:

i first saw this fanart on instagram and made a BUNCH of fake scenarios in my head about it, but soon after i downloaded the social media app i deleted my account. in short, i was getting addicted and someone had hacked my dms. honestly it was for the best lolol. so then i turned to other social media outlets to engage with, and i eventually settled on pinterest (least toxic social media app in my opinion) and yt shorts (very accessible lmao). after finding this again i looked at some of the comments and realized a lot of ppl wanted a fic out of it ! so i decided to make one cus i need purposed in my life and also it would fulfill some ppl's (including mine's) wants. 

backstory and greetings aside, how did i do? lmk in comments what you think and any suggestions :] i already got a storyline in place (i think it's really good and that u all will like it a lot) so if u suggest smth related to that it might not be taken into full account.
