at the suburban village...

Midoriya couldn't take this long wait anymore. It had been a whole week, and he honestly felt like the time was a lot faster because he felt like it's only been days. It made a bit of sense, he wondered how much time had passed back in his home world.

And so far, he's learned a good ordeal about the Resistance. They've been around for generations, fighting against the Pharaoh's reign. But no mortal was close to bringing that menace of a god. Which meant Sero and Kaminari's ancestors and allies fought a thousand years but were defeated. Some surrendered and remained to worship him in fear of meeting far worse punishments than death, while others died until their bodies and remains became a part of the sands.

So they've been in hiding, waiting for each opportunity to come and assassinate the Pharaoh once and for all. Their allies work in the palace as servants while working as spies to be the Resistance's main insight.

"It's no use," Sero sat back down on his bench in exhaustion. It was getting late as it was getting ready to be sundown. Midoriya sat on a bench around the table with Sero and Kaminari. "We've looked at every possible route to sneak into the palace, but it's still highly guarded."

"So unless we're summoned to do work, there's no way we can get in," Kaminari added and crossed his arms.

"We can't give up now. Maybe we try to enter from the back. Maybe from the food supply storage." Izuku suggested.

"Yeah, however, they have high trained hounds to track a scent in an instant." Denki rebuked.

"Does the palace have an underground system?"

"It does. But a death trap of all sorts. Too risky, no one comes back alive there." Sero shook his head in denial.

"It's also rumoured where the death god leaves his pets he brought back from the underworld to punish us mortals who betray the Pharaoh!" The electric blonde shivered head to toe, an imagery like that gave Midoriya a way worse sensation of goosebumps than ever before.

"Hey, have you tried figuring out what your tattoo does?"

"My tattoo?" Midoriya glanced over the divinity marking on his shoulder.

"It made me think. Since it's a divine mark then it should be...magical?"

"M-me? Have magic?"
