eita completely ignored kenjirou's answer and continued talking.

"i realized we've been
real busy lately and
we haven't hung out
in a while."

kenjirou gave the ash-blonde a look before focusing his attention back to the little jigsaw puzzle in front of them — them being him and atsuko.

kenjirou's shift for today starts at lunch, therefore, he had more time to spend at home.

"i'm sorry, is this
not 'hanging out'
to you, eita?"

kenjirou put down the puzzle pieces he was holding just to add the air quotes.

eita pursed his lips and stared at kenjirou flatly, which the latter only grinned at.

SEMI EITA
"i meant like– not
babysitting, you
know?"

kenjirou faked a gasp.

"i mean, like! you

"no, i don't."

kenjirou knew what eita meant, but just wanted to mess with him. and maybe because he wanted to hear eita say it.

eita sighed jokingly.

"what i meant was that
we both have been busy
lately, i don't know
what's going on with you,
you don't know with me, and
we just haven't been able
to catch up and– hang out.."

okay now kenjirou definitely did not expect the full explanation. hence, the silent staring at the red-faced ash-blonde.

it was silent for a while and eita was getting more embarrassed by the second.

"i was just suggesting,
we don't have to–"

"no! i mean– yeah,
i get what you mean
and i agree.. just uhm–
set the date or something
and uh– i'll free up my
sched for you."
