Albert took a deep breath as he looked himself over in the mirror. This is stupid.

He looked at his costume- a respectable, nearly dead looking Chucky- and tried to smile, but he wasn't feeling it.

"Hey", Elmer says, opening the door to the bathroom. He was dressed as a prince, and his skin was painted pink. He smiled. "You okay?"

"Just nerves", Albert muttered, running a hand through his hair. Elmer smacked and opened the cabinet under the sink, grabbing a cam. "What's that?"

"Hair spray." He stood up with a sigh and too the lid off, shaking it. "Cover your eyes."

Albert placed his hands over his eyes and closed them, listening to the shush of the chemicals. He wondered what he would look like, having never used hairspray before. Would his hair be matted? Would it feel different?

"There", Elmer grinned, pulling Albert's hand from his face. He laughed at Albert's shocked face. "Now you look more dead inside than usual."

Albert snickered and pushed him away. "I'm not dead inside."

Elmer shrugged, ruffling his hair a little more. "But you do look good. Race is gonna love it."

"I hope so", Albert sighed, chuckling. "I kind of feel like I should impress him? Maybe it's stupid."

Elmer grinned knowingly, patting his shoulder. "Don't worry", he says, looking at Albert through the mirror. "This will be the night that changes everything."

They both heard a beep, one that sounded like it came from a certain rust bucket of a car. Albert's eyes widened as Elmer smiled giddily.

He grabbed his older brother's hand and practically dragged him down the stairs, opening the front door and pushing him out. "Wha-"

"Sorry to rush you out", Elmer apologized, but there was little sincerity. "But Race is here."

"Yeah, I know-"

"Wow."

Albert turned around and bit his lip, seeing the blonde standing behind him. I hate to quote Hamilton, but God, he's a fox.

He was distracted. Race had his ever so charming grin plastered on his face, heavy eyeliner and eyeshadow on his eyes and a black dress shirt on with tight pants, however he left a few buttons of the shirt unhooked- enough to show his chest and make Albert want to scream in agony. There were chains and necklaces pretty much all around his neck, and Albert realized something.

He'd never felt like this before.

"You look hot", Race nodded, panicking when he realized what he said. "I mean good! Great! Yeah, you look great."

Elmer snickered behind his hand, pushing them down the driveway. "Will you go before the whole street realizes you're in love?"

Both boys blushed but didn't deny anything, mostly because denying it would get them no where with Elmer.

"You need a ride, El?"

"Nope, Spot's coming for me", Elmer denied, a smile still on his face. "I guarantee we'll beat you to the party, though."

Race flipped him off as a goodbye and got into the car with Albert.

"Hey! Race!" The blonde look over to see Elmer and Spot in a corner, red cups in their hands. He rolls his eyes and smiles, walking over.
