"What were you recording at the studio?"

I barely spare the paparazzi a glance as they follow us to the vegan cafe that we will be dining at after a long morning at the studio. I have been wanting to collaborate with my children for the longest time but it's never been the right time as they have their own goals in music.

Jace and Greyson have worked on some music together since they are clearly musical soulmates but I would be lying if I said that I didn't get jealous from time to time. Mia is not one to collaborate with other artists as she's trying to find her own place in the industry without being compared to her counterparts so I have yet to work with my kids.

They will allow me to work on some of the behind the scenes stuff but they just want to do it themselves for the most part and I have to respect that.

I sometimes wonder if my music career has scared them away but after years of me asking, my children have finally agreed to lay down some vocals on a track that I am working on.  Nothing is set in stone but I am hoping that we can make something happen even if it's just for the family to listen to.

"Those boots are everything." Mia says while snapping a picture of me walking. "You really don't know how to look basic."

"I really tried." I giggle to myself. "The plan was to go for a simple look but when you have curves, nothing ever looks basic."

"Well you better look basic if you want to join us on tour." Jace nudges me. "Can't have you stealing all the spotlight especially with those acrobatic moves of yours."

I laugh at his words, "I thought you loved watching me doing all types of flips on stage."

"We love it at your show." My son winks at me and I playfully roll my eyes at him. "The tour is going to be rock n roll madness and you need to keep up."

"Oh baby." I twirl my hair around my finger. "I invented rock n roll."
