Chapter 1: The journey to Reseda

3rd person pov

The young prince, whose abandoned and betrayed, watches as his best friend gets impaled and taken away. But before she got taken she mouths 'go Zheng! Become the one who will change the world, become, the emperor.'  Were her last wordsAs he cries in agony, running away in the process. He goes to the place where they always met up, grabs supplies like food and water as well as claw like gloves and a blade before running away from the town of Qin.

Timeskip

The boy journey'd over towards a place called 'Okinawa', surviving and training to fend for himself. As he thinks about the last words his friend said "I promise, i and those who follow, will change this wretched world. For us i will see to it Val." He states before seeing a nice long hill on a mountain, which he'd walk on before 2 criminals ambush him.

Zheng's pov

I hear people approach me, my sight may be blocked by wearing a blindfold because of the strain my brain gets when using them. But i know from their threatening demeanour, that they aren't up to any good. "Hey you!" One says getting my attention as i stop walking with my back turned. "Yea you! Turn around and give me your belongings!" He says is a demanding tone as i just proceed to walk away, getting him to run at me. I hear him closing in, shifting to grab me before i turn away from him, getting him to dash passed me. But not without tripping him, my hands go around his neck as i twist them as it snaps killing him on the spot. Which strikes fear into the other one who shivers "Y-you monster!" He exclaims shocked before trying to punch me which i block by grabbing onto him. "Monster? You're the one ambushing a kid here foolish man..." I said berating him of his actions as i dodge his next kick before kicking his leg in as i throw him down the mountain side. Presumably killing him too as i throw the other body down there too. I headed on to walk up the hill, what i didn't know however was that someone saw it all.

I see some sort of wooden house which actually has a training area in it, as i hear footsteps, i turn around to acknowledge it. Knowing they aren't threatening, I didn't have my guard up. "Hey kid. I saw what you did back there and followed you up here seeing you go to my place." My eyes widen behind my blindfold in surprise, as i get a little defensive thinking he was going to judge me or try to attack too. Instead, his body leaned forward as he bowed and nodded his head, showing he's no threat as i nod back.

"So. Not much of a talker are you?" He asks, and i shake my head 'no' and he seemed to understand as he nudged me to come over to his place. Deciding to not go against it and being pretty hungry, i follow along as my stomach rumbles and i rub my head kind of sheepishly. The man just chuckles in response before chopping something , and putting it on my plate. I smell it and smile lightly knowing that it's sushi before eating it, and he joins in. "Hm, so might i know your name?" He asks, i hesitate a little bit, since I don't share my real name with people but started to want to trust him. "Hao this is good sushi! Eh i'm not much of a talker normally but i am starting to trust you. My real name is Zheng, Zheng Ying." I state introducing myself as i stick out my hand for him to shake which he takes. "That's a nice name, mine is Chozen Toguchi. I watched you fight, although killing is not a good thing I understand why you did it and watched you fight. You're extremely skilled for one so young...what is your age anyway?" He asks, as i shrug "Honestly I don't know i've been alone for a while and didn't keep track as i needed to survive on my own, the last time i heard of my age was when i was 8 years old with my girlfriend Val. But it had been 5 winters since. So i'm guessing 13 years old." He was surprised that i didn't fully know my own age, but decided not to question it. Chozen, "Well you may stay as long as you want. However i want you to join my karate training, and the dojo as well." He offers, and i nod back liking that idea as i finish my meal.

2 years pass. He showed some secrets about ancient miyagi do, and teaches really well, he's a great fighter. I take my blindfold off, explaining my condition which he's fascinated by. I fight for the first time with my eyes, and eventually managed to win in a fight and roundhoused him followed by flipping him over as he fell on his butt. And yet, he is happy and approving of it. Chozen, "You completed your training Zheng Ying, you know everything you need to know. However the police found the body's of those you killed, you have become a fugitive. You must go to the airport and fly to Reseda in America, where you can find Daniel san, who was a student of miyagi do too. Perhaps they are willing to take you in, if not, i know you can survive!" He orders with encouragement and i nod before hugging him shedding a tear, i grab my stuff before going to the airport with him using a fake identity.

I enter the plane and head on over to Reseda, unfortunately, i was figured out by the security in the airport as i was contained and send to juvie. "I have to escape...My journey has only just begun, it can't end here in this prison."

And that's the end of the first chapter which is mainly a quick story about him fleeing his home place in the old town of Qin, being taken in by chozen, learning to fight and survive, and of course, going into juvie which he'll break out of next chapter! I always wanted to make a cobra kai story and i'm mixing a warrior into it. Hopefully you'll enjoy the rest of the story coming up soon!
