"Where will the party take place?" Luka asks
"At my place," I said
"I won't be there," He said
"Why not?" I look at him
"Remember on the weekends I go to work,"
"Can't you take that day off?" I ask
"I don't think my boss will let me take a day off," He said
"Oh," I said looking back to the front of the room "Is he Rose's father?"
He look at me "Yes," he said
After school at the bus stop
"Hey bestie," Mia and Jame pull up in front of me. Mia push her head out the car window "Hop in we'll drop you home,"
I got in the back seat and we take off. "Thanks, guy," I smile
"Anything for my bestie," Mia winked at me "Are you exacted for the party Saturday night?"
"Not really," I said "The party boy won't be there,"
"What?" Mia turns back at me "Luka isn't coming?"
"No, he's going to work,"
"That's no fun," Jame said
"How do you know?" Mia ask
"We had a second class together," I said
When we meet in front of my house we see Kim and Alex coming from a black away.
"Look, they're coming," Mia point at them. We wait for them to meet us.
"Where is Luka?" Jame ask
"He has after school class," Alex said
"Are you guys coming to the party this weekend?" Mia ask
"Yes," He smiles "We're coming,"
"Bad thing Luka can't come," Kim said
"That's why we're here," Mia said "He's lucky that he had after-school class."
We all look at her confuse.
"Even if he asks his boss for the day off, he won't give him," Alex said, "and I don't think he can face someone."
"What do you mean?" I ask "did he get into a fight?"
"He has a--" Kim stops him from talking
"Is there something we should know?" Jame look at them
"No," Kim said "we get going," Alex and Kim walk away toward their house, Mia and Jame turn and look at me.
"Will there still be a party?" Jame ask
"Yes," I turn at them "But..."
"What is it?" Mia ask
"My place is a mass," I said
"Haha," Jame laughed "Is that the problem?"
"I don't think we should do the party at my house," I said
"Hehe," he put candy in his mouth, as Mia walk over to me
"Don't worry about it," she said putting a hand on my shoulder "I know you never keep your place messy,"
Jame started laughing again but louder "Your excuse is too weak. See you tomorrow," he got in the car and Mia follow behind.
"We're going to buy the thing for the party to set up," Mia said pushing her head out the car window waving "get a good sleep,"
I smile and wave as they drive off, I turn and went inside and went to the kitchen for some water when I remember what Alex said: "And I don't think he can face someone."
The next morning
honk, honk, honk
I woke up hearing a car horning outside, I got up and watch through the window to see Jame and Mia outside waving up at me, I went and wash up then went to open the door for them.
"You guys said you'll come early, but don't you think it's a little too early," I said
"Not my fault," Jame sits on the couch "sweetheart wanted to come,"
"Did we woke you up from your bed?" Mia ask
"Kind of," I smile "but it's alright,"
"Good, than let's good started," Mia smile
