Self reflection

"I need a nap" you rubbed your head.

"You know where it is" she pointed her hand in the direction of the guest room.

The quest room that slowly became your room over time.

When you laid down you allowed you mind to wonder.

First Ashley.

She was amazing. The way she moved. Every little mannerism had you mesmerized.

She was gorgeous and sweet and she loved you.

She was yours. You wanted her and now you have her.

But you still couldn't figure out why you weren't happy.

We're you happy with Courtney

Courtney.

You thought you were happy. But she's manipulative and nothing like Ashley.

But you loved her.

How is it that you can feel love and admiration for both Ashley and Courtney when they're nothing alike.

The thought stumped you.

Lizzie was right. You needed to tell Ashley. But not now. Not today.

The last thing Ashley needs is to think the stability she so desperately wants and needs is going to be taken away

You slipped you hand down your pants to feel the bruise Ashley left on you.

Suddenly you weren't tired.

You sat up and put you shoes back on

You walked out to see Lizzie in the same place.

She had been texting Ashley little to your knowledge.

She was a little surprised when she looked up from her phone to see you ready to head out the door so soon.

"I thought you were going to take a nap."

"I need to see Ashley" you slipped on your sunglasses

"Send me the address of her building and her coffee order. I'm gonna go surprise her" you kissed Lizzie's cheek

"Are you going to tell her?" Lizzie asked making a face that resembled your mothers. It sent shivers down your spine.

"I will" you forced a smile. "Just not today. Not now" you added and Lizzie nodded seeming to understand

"Lizzie I-"

"It's fine y/n. Go get your girl some coffee. It's sound to me like the two of you had a king night" Lizzie stood up kissing your cheek and escorting you to the door.

You were easily buzzed through the door when you gave them your name

You walked in and went to the floor your girlfriend shared with her sister to see them in the middle of a conversation with a few staff members

Mary Kate spotted you first seeing as she was facing you. She tapped her sister and pointed to you.

Ashley turned around and smiled when she saw you.

You approached the small group of people as Ashley shooed away the employees so it was just the three of you

"What are you doing here?" She smiled wrapping a hand around you waist pulling you closer to her slightly

"Sorry I don't want to interrupt. I brought you coffee" you handed her the portable cup and her smile melted away any doubt you had about this relationship

You needed to get your act together. You have a wonderful girlfriend who is obviously in love with you and you're acting like a brat.

"Thank you" she smiled sweetly up at you and she reached up to kiss your lips. Mary Kate cleared her throat

You pulled away and smiled over at her.

"How rude of me. Come here MK" You hugged her

You and MK actually had a good relationship growing up. Ironic it wasn't Ashley.

MK was the first person you told about him when it started. Even before Lizzie.

Ashley never knew. She still doesn't know

"I thought I was your favorite" Mary Kate played along

"Shh she might hear you" you said obviously with the intent of Ashley hearing you. Teasing Your girlfriend slight as you and Mary k parted

Ashley had a hard look on her face. You were gonna pay for that little joke later.

You would soon find out how much of a jealous person Ashley could be.
