yeah, I feel like you saw this coming, with all the being-dead for several months
I don't want to say "life and school's been busy and in the way so wait for summer and I'll be a writing machine!!! :D" because that's just not true.
I think I'm in the phase of "fail faster." If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's basically when you make something, find mistakes, move on to the next thing to fix those mistakes, rather than fixing them in the same project. I think I'm rambling.
So, when I first started working on First Try, I wanted to write something serious for once, instead of some parody-joke thing. I got better at chapter length consistency (somewhat; I was using page number), I got better at actually writing serious topics, discussions, I had inspirations, I think you know where this is going.
I started First Try at about chapter 12 of Vermillion, Hornet, and What's to Come, and I quit that very soon after. And then, behind the scenes, I started a new work that I never plan on posting, where I started to use word counts, some hints of plot (omfg), and with the characters I'm more passionate about. And, once, again, I lost any and all motivation/inspiration for THIS.
I'm not quitting this, I completely intend on coming back to it. Especially after I said last time, "First Try's still going strong!" I feel like I'm letting you down. (far into the future me here, every time I think of this fic I feel like shooting myself so yeah, no, not continuing this)
If you know any works I can reference/be inspired by, I'd love to hear them.
I don't know how to conclude it, so, um, bye. I guess.
