"otay" the child nodded happily that she would get to meet new people
"its sometime hard to belive shes related to you" kya chuckled
"I hate how much shes like tenzin somtimes" Lin sighed and smild at her doughtor who was trying to build a tiny snow man.
"you ever wonder if she could be a water bender. I didn't pay much attention in school but I'm pretty sure bending works like genetics." Kya smiled
"and some how your a doctor" Lin chuckled. Kya had gotten a job in the southern water tribe as a healer and planed on being one in republic city too.
"come on the ferrys gonna leave soon" Kya said walking tward the ferry as they heard the wistle blow
they were settle on the ferry and it started moving with Katana sitting in between Lin and kya. The girls were sitting in a comfortable silince when katana spoke up. "momy why do I not have a daddy?" she asked
Lin thought for a minute beofore speaking "you do have a daddy but mommy and him arn't together becasue hes a bad man, just think of kya as your other mommy." Lin smiled at the water bender.
"dose this mean I'm your girlfriend?" Kya smirked
"if you want" Lin shrugged and kya laughed and nodded while katana sat processing everything.
"so I get two mommys?" She asked finaly
"yes you get two mommys " Kya laughed
"cool!" the little girl cheered and the other two laughed
*back in republic city: Air temple Island.*
The girls had written to katara a week pryor telling her they would be back in republic city and the older waterbedner had responded saying she was excited and had gotten them a new aparment as a gift.
As the three steped of the ferry they were greated by both there familys most smiling some (meaning Tenzin and Lins family) scowls
"hey mom" Lin said quietly after a bit of silince
"why is there a baby with you?" toph asked thank goodness katara didn't tell them everything The younger metal bender thought
"Mom this is your grandchild" Lin said nervously
"how in the hell do I have a grandchild?" toph asked
"um shes mine" Lin said praying her mother wouldn't ask about the father
"and its twinkle toes jr.s kid?" Toph asked
"yeah" Lin said quietly and everyone looked at Tenzin
"hey its not my fault she ran away for months and broke up with me out of the blue. I didn't evn know she had been pregnant till after the kid was born" Tenzing defended and aang sighed had had probaly heard plently about this from his youngest son
"did you want this kid?" toph asked
Lin didn't asnwer at first untill she finaky answered with a "no"
"so this kid got my doughtor pregnant wich caused her to run away and risk ever getiing her dream job" toph asked angrily
"mom please don't be upset it was hard but I'm gonna try to forgive tenzin it happened years ago" Lin said calmly
"thanks and I want you to know I am very sorry" tenzin said
"yeah I still don't want to see you much" Lin said going back to her grumpy self
"is that my daddy?" Katana asked pointing at Tenzin
"yes but like I said earlier I don't want you to think of him as a dad" Lin wsipered to her doughtor
"can I give him a hug at least?" Katana asked and lin chuckled and nodded. Katana woddled over to tenzin and hugged his leg. "Mommy says not to think of you like a daddy but I still love you" The two year old said
"I hate how miuch shes like him" Lin chuckled to her grilfriend and kya responded with a chuckle and a kiss on the cheek, thankfully no one was watching Lin wasn't ready to explain her and kya to everyone yet.
"you sure this is your doughtor" toph asked as Katana was trying to hug her, and everyone laughed
"just wait till you have to baby sit" lin chuckled as katra gave up and went to try to hug su.
"hi little baby I'm your aunt and I'll be a way better babysitter than your grandma" Su smiled
"whats her name?" Bumi asked as Katana ran to hug him after Su.
"katana" Lin asnwered
"isn't that a water tribe name?" Tenzin asked
"its after kya and katara beacues they ehlped me alot through being pregnant" Lin said
"so you knew about this the whole time?" Tenzin asked his mother shocked
"yup" Katara answered. everyone chatted for a bit more untill it was time for Kya, Lin, and Katana to leave. As the cuple walked away Katana ran up after them.
"mommys can one of you carry me?" Katana asked making polar bear dog eyes.
"I sopose" Kya chuckled while everyone stared in shock
"Mommys?" Tenzin questioned ad Kya picked up Katana
"she thinks of Kya like a second mom" Lin explained her face going red
"Lin your heart is beating realy hard is there somthing the two of you wanna tell us?" Toph questioned
Lin was about to deny when Katana spoke up
"yup these are my mommys they said they in love and they the best mommys ever" the little girl smirk as everyone stared in shock again
"So whens the wedding?" Bumi asked and everyone started laughing.
