"Guys stop." Kat tried to intervene but Maddy cut her off.

"No no, let her say what she wants to say, let her have the spotlight. Go on, I'd rather date a man who is still in high school than your playboy." Maddy said harshly.

"And I would rather date a fucking crackhead who has higher morals then your sexist pig of a ex." Emma spat harshly back towards Maddy.

"Stop it, enough!" Kat screamed. Both of the girls continued to glare at each other before looking back at her.

"Listen to what you guys are saying to each other. All for what? couple of boys. I would expect this from Maddy and Cassie but not from you Emma." Kat said angrily.

"No, but if someone is going to disrespect another person behind their back and they can't defend themselves, especially if it's someone I care about. I can take it, but if you take it to another level and disrespect Fezco, then it's going to get personal."

"Well next time when I see him I'll remember to bring it up about it." Maddy said as she looked back at Emma.

"It's like the choking wasn't a good enough reason for you to leave him. He's going to do something to you next time and it's going to hurt you. But don't expect me to come around and hold you when you cry." Emma said as she packed her things up to leave.

"I really needed this study session to happen for the quiz." Kat whispered to herself which she let out a groan at the end.

"You know what, both of you just leave." Maddy spat, Emma and Kat left the house, Maddy slamming the door behind when she sees Emma giving her the finger before the door closes.

Emma couldn't deal with it anymore, she needed to see Fezco. She couldn't handle the covers that tension between them, this wasn't like them.

"Fez, Fez!" Emma yelled as she knocked on his front door repeatedly. The lights weren't on which indicated that no one was home, Emma realised that if they weren't here than they would be at the station. She groaned and quickly hopped onto her bike and headed down to Fezcos job. The ride wasn't too long, as his house and his work were very closely together. She spotted him from a far away distance, as she was serving a customer. Emma started to peddle faster.

As she got close to the store, she hopped off her bike and placed it against the wall. Emma walked in to find Fezco talking to someone behind him.

"Hey Fez can we tal-" Emma stopped when she noticed a blonde girl sitting on the icecream stand.

"Emma, what are you doing here?" Fezco asked in shock. She didn't respond back though, as she repeatedly switched the focus on her and Fezco.

"Hi I'm Faye." The girl waved at her kindly.

"Emma." she briefly introduced herself before turning her focus back onto Fez.

"Can we talk please?" Emma asked desperately. He nodded and instructed her to go into the cooler room. Fezco told Asher to serve while he gave him and Emma space to talk.

"How are you?" Emma started.

"That's all you came down here to ask?" Fez questioned.

"No, no that's not it uh. Well I Came here after Maddy's house as I had a fight with her. I just wanted to know if we are okay." Emma responded a little to fast.

"You got into a fight?" Fez asked.

"Well not an actual fight, just arguing. Just girl stuff you know." She assured him.

"I would've thought you'd be hanging around with that new kid." He laughed jokingly.

"What who, Robbie?" Emma scoffed. He only hummed back in agreement.

"So that's his name."

"He's Kats cousin, I only met him that night." Emma defended.

"He seemed pretty cosy when he grabbed you, you didn't even do anything." Fez scoffed back her as he sat down on the chair.

"I didn't ask him to do that, I didn't think he was going to do that.  Geez I don't want to get to any other arguments tonight, fuck!" Emma yelled angrily.

"Whoa hold on now." Fez said in shock.

"No I'm fucking getting so annoyed that everyone has their opinions on us. Someone spread rumours that you apparently would beat me, I am so sick of it. I stick up for you every time but you don't even want to talk to me." Emma started sob, Fezco felt so angry but guilty.

Is that people were really thinking about he thought to himself, which explained why that Robbie guy came to her defence. It all made sense, he got jealousy to the best of him and didn't realise the bigger picture.

"Don't listen to them baby. We know we ain't like that." Fez tried to reassure her.

"I know, that's why I got into an argument with my friends because I was sticking up for us. It annoys me that they say shit like this." Emma cried. She sits down and puts her head in her hands.

"There's no need to cry baby, calm down." He cooed her as he strokes her hair. She eventually cooled down, taking deep breathes while trying to wipe her tears away.

"I just want to be happy." Emma admits.

"We all do. Now come on, you can stick around if you want?" He says at attempting to making her happy.

Emma sniffed. "I think I might be a bother if I stick around."

"Nonsense baby." Fez assured her. She really didn't want to leave, she felt like she was at peace when she is with him, a wholesome feeling that made her smile. They both left the cooler room and she helped Fezco out with the store.

"Yo sorry I didn't take you back home on New Years." Fez said as looked at her, however he noticed her staring at something else. He could tell something was off.

"Good evening." A strange man echoed, It didn't scare Fezco, just shocked him a little bit. Emma kept staring at him in fear, knowing exactly why he was here.

His rough voice ringing in the store. "Do you have any spearmint gum?"

"I don't know man, the gums right here." Fezco answered bluntly. Cal walked directly to where Fez pointed towards the gum.

"Is this your store?" He asked he picked up the gum.

"It's a family business." Fezco stated.

"Do your parents own it?" He asked again.

"Do you usually ask this many questions man?" Fezco questioned him curiously.

"Just you. Did she tell you who I am?" He asked nodding his head towards Emma.

"Nah man."

"Are you a cop?" Faye asked curiously. Cal only scoffed when he spoke, "no." as he placed his hand on his pocket. Silence and tension filling the room, Emma's breathing was getting a little too loud as he finally took his hand out the pocket with only a twenty dollar bill.

"Just a concerned father?" He answered as he walked away.

It seemed that Emma and Fezco cannot have a peaceful night without something getting in the way. From New Years to this, Emma started to think that maybe this was a sign. A sign that could damage her relationship with Fezco. After the night of winter formal, it was clear that everything had changed.
