Professional book cover design for dummies (for everyone!) in photoshop

Step 0: choose softwear
-paint/canva/gimp/photoshop
-commercial/practice/wattpad or writing community: what softwear do you need

Step one: measures
-pixels/inches explained
-book cover measures
-paperback
-softcover
-ebook
-opening your book cover file
Vid 2: learn to use the basic tools

Step two: image background
-vid 1: searching images on google or stock sites?
-vid 2: sites I use(d)
-what image suits what genre? Sketch the idea.
-vid 3: measures explained (how to edit an image so that fonts and titles look great after editing). Important to know before you start your composition.
-vid 5: choose images you want to use for your book cover genre.
-vid 6: practice composition without buying images from stock sites.
-what are PNG images and how to use them?

Step three: edit image background tips
-vid 1: Use of photoshop filters (with just a few clicks!)
-Vid 2: cutting and blending images with easy tools/photoshop help screen. (Contrast ding effect)
-Vid 3: use of png images for effects (magic)
-coloring images by hand and selecting

Step four: edit a character
-vid 1: where to get book cover characters (google/stocks) and cg models
-vid 2: cutting out your character in under 5 minutes by using just 1 photoshop tools.
-vid 3: editing your character's styles (color changes - hair and eyes
-vid 4: copy paste a face over a (cg) model
-vid 5: copy paste hair on a (cg) model
-vid 6: placement and largeness of the charachter

Step five: edit a font (title and author name)
-what to do and not to do (pro tips and mistakes)
-where to download fonts dafont etc. And how to install them
-using the text tools in photoshop
-font styles (how to create and download them)
-putting effects on your fonts with png's (easy!)

Step six: blending it together
-use an extra photoshop filter
-use the blur tool
-use a color overlay to create the look you want
-add in extra's (pgn's) birds/snow/fire

Step 7: Save your file and finish!
-save as jpg/psd/png/pdf
