Chapter 2:project

Tyler was at his locker. He pulled a book out and clicked a pen open to write in the book.
'having a crush on someone you bully, is so bad. Not only does it make me feel horrible for what I'm doing, but it makes the chances of us getting together very low.. I want to stop teasing her, but she's just so cute. Her reactions are priceless. When she gets mad, her cute face gets all red. It just makes her 10 times cuter than before'.
He stopped writing and locked the book, shoving it into his backpack, then grabbing his skateboard.

Mei approached him about the project and the meeting spot "okay cool. Your house, right?" He took out a sharpie and wrote on his hand the meeting spot. "Is your mom still uptight about having friends over?"

"Yeeeaaah she's TOTALLY fine with it haha" she said sweating hoping her mom would let Tyler come over

"Oh and Tyler! Another thing!" She said while her face is starting to heat up a bit
"If you wanna hangout sometime, just let me know?"

She practically just wanted to discover if there's a "nice side" in him, she wanted to give him a chance but ... She felt something strange while being so close to him ... She felt flustered and her heart start to race out of nowhere.
"What in the world is WRONG WITH ME!?" she thought to herself confused looking up at him again

Tyler's eyes brightened, then his smile widened. "I'd love to hang out with you sometime" he said, a blushing mess "maybe we can listen to 4*Town and... Uhm.. watch the stars come out."

"Yeah that would be nice! Haha" she laughed cutely brushing her hair behind her ear.

Tyler began to get sweaty and clammy, then his face turned red and began getting hot. "Watching the stars?" He asked her.

"That, that would be so sweet" she smiled cutely leaving Tyler blushing after hearing one if the teachers telling them to go home

"sorry Mrs. Gibbons!" He waved goodbye to Mei and ran out the door. He dropped his skateboard on the ground and hopped into it, soon boarding away to the basketball court.

Mei took a last glance at her friend then went home.
As she walked in, her mother rushed to her complaining about why is she 10 min late and if she was okay and if something happened to her
" Hahah I'm okay Mom don't worry" she said kissing her on the cheek and did the same with her dad that was preparing lunch.
"Sooo, Mom, Dad, i have something important to discuss with you guys and you better have a good listen " said Mei pointing at a board behind her .
"Aaaand that's why my friends should come over to study for the robotic project" said Mei after her complicated presentation to convince her parents.

"Ok" the parents simply said
"Wait REALLY??" Mei was surprised because she already expected them to refuse so that she can have them over secretly but looks like she doesn't have to.
"Yeah sure, if it's for your studies then yes" added the father smiling
"Aah thank you so much guys thank you thank you!!" Said Mei jumping on her parents hugging them tightly
"So when is your meeting?" The mom asked.
"It's tomorrow after classes if that's okay with you?"
"Great! We already were planning to celebrate our anniversary out for fancy dinner and going out a little so feel comfortable studying at home." Informed the father
"Oh wow, happy anniversary to you guys!" Mei said happily kissing them again, then all of them went to the kitchen to eat.

Tyler skateboarded home and immediately went to the living room where his parents would be. "Mom? Dad? Uh, if I don't come home early tomorrow, I'm at a friend's house. We are working on a robot project for the school." He said. His parents turned to him, they smiled and patted the seat next to them "we are glad you are making friends,, ever since that... That event,, we know it has been hard on you." His mom said. (The event before the movie is *triggering* so I won't go into full detail..)
His dad hugged him and so did his mom. "We got news from the police department... That gross old man has been put in jail, so we will be celebrating it tonight with movies and dinner in the living room." They haven't had dinner in the living room in a long time. They mainly are dinner in the dining room with no TV or electronics.
